Drew and Dora would always disagree as siblings on anything done in favour of one leaving the other, they would quarrel and almost fight each other but their parents never let it happen. Even though they were not the sweetest together, Drew cared for his sister a lot when he is with his friends and same goes with Dora when she is with her friends.

Their parents couldn't fathom what the discord was between their kids that they couldn't sort it out without quarrelling, they would always put them in prayers. It was the family's tradition to always visit their hometown during the kids holiday, the kids were excited about the trip as they always were.

Grandmother told them a lot of tales whenever they visited and their favourite tale which turned out to be real to them was "Making wishes come true". They were told that a special day at their hometown when a loud noise from a trumpet followed by a voice would ask for wishes and only one wish would be granted, it happened once every year.

Drew and Dora were so hopeful that their wish might be the next to be granted so the excitement to visit grandma only doubled every year. The kids couldn't leave grandma's side when they got there, she was so happy as much as they were to see each other. It didn't take a a few minutes after dinner before the kids asked for more tales from their grandma.

Kids, I'll tell you a different story today and whoever learns the main lesson from it would get his or her wish granted... Grandma said to them with a sheepish smile.

Yes!!! Tell us already grandma... The kids replied excitedly.

There were these two siblings back in my childhood days who would always fight each other when they were together but would pretend among their friends that they love each other dearly. I and the other kids couldn't stop mocking them for trying to fool us when we knew the truth already. They kept at it until we got older and told them how silly they had both been looking to us, their friends.

The siblings burst into tears out of shame and looked at each other realising that they had not been pretending but actually love each other. They tried to explain to their friends but none of us believed them, they cried all day long and wish they had told each other they love themselves genuinely...

Grandma was about to continue when she notice her grandkids sobbing with their hands on their faces.

I'm guessing you both learnt the lessons from this story, right? She asked and they gave a nod as tears kept rolling down their cheeks.

Right at that moment, the trumpet sound came so loud and clear with the voice that usually followed... Make a wish and it shall be granted!

The kids got so happy at that moment and they hugged each other to make a wish that came out simple and at the same time. I wish to keep loving my brother (sister)!.

Their parents couldn't be any happier about how things turned out as their wishes were granted even though the story about granting wishes was only another fairytale that never happened. The two kids stayed happy with each other thinking they've been granted their one wish.
