Amon-Ra St. Brown releases explicit messages from Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown released an Instagram direct message between him and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis following the Lions’ 47-9 victory over the Cowboys on Sunday.

What prompted the message and why were St. Brown and Lewis arguing?

The argument dates back to last season’s game between the two teams that the Cowboys won 20-19. St. Brown was on the Pivot podcast in the offseason and said Lewis was ‘talking crazy,’ throughout the game and was one of his least favorite NFL cornerbacks.

“I don’t talk much unless someone is gonna talk to me. You know I block hard, I do all that, but he was talking crazy, like some [expletive] I’ve never heard before. I’m like yo hold on, I’m about to go hard on this [expletive] ” said St. Brown.

Lewis, a Detroit native who attended Michigan, responded by saying he played with passion and that he especially didn’t want to be friendly with a Lions player not from Detroit.

In their latest matchup, St. Brown had four catches for 37 yards with a touchdown in the victory and took to Instagram live after with the caption ‘what he say.’ Lewis sent St. Brown a message on Instagram responding to the story swearing at the Lions All-Pro receiver.

That was between me and him. He decided to show the world.

The Cowboys cornerback took to X, formerly Twitter, to say the message was intended for St. Brown and that he chose to share it with a wide audience.

Lewis and the Cowboys will have their bye week before a primetime showdown with the San Francisco 49ers.
