A beautiful and majestic bird, the bald eagle.
Also a frequent sight in the Pacific Northwest.
Most often they are seen in wilder regions, but I've seen them fly over Portland more than once.
Usually it's the crows that alert me to their presence.
These photos were taken this past July, at Lime Kiln Point on San Juan Island, Washington.
I took a ton of photos with the intention of sharing them in the #hivestockimages collection.
But I take tons of photos all the time, so it took me a little bit to get to them.
