Esta es una película dirigida por Stanley Kubrick en 1980, la misma está basada en la novela original de el mago del terror Stephen King de 1977, aunque la película tiene muchas diferencias con la novela, todas esas libertades que se tomó el director fueron increíbles. La historia de basa en un escritor llamado Jack protagonizado por Jack Nicholson, a quien no le ha ido muy bien últimamente y acepta el trabajo de ser el cuidador de un gran hotel que queda en una montaña nevada , este hotel suele quedar aislado por algunos meses debido a la nieve, así que el cuidador debe quedarse así a vivir todo ese tiempo con su esposa y su hijo, el acepta ese trabajo con la intención de trabajar en su obra escrita, sin embargo el hotel guarda una historia sangrienta y e este ocurren muchos hechos sobrenaturales que Danny el pequeño hijo de Jack siente de una manera muy cercana porque él tiene la capacidad de “resplandecer” es decir puede ver cosas del pasado, del futuro e incluso ver a los fantasmas.

Como se habrán dado cuenta esta película es de terror psicológico y aborda diferentes aspectos en una sola trama, por un lado la casa que tiene el resplandor, pero que al mismo tiempo está habitada por los muertos del pasado y pareciera que la casa y sus habitantes buscan tener más acompañantes eternos, pero también está la parte en que se ve la falta de sueño, el alcohol, el aislamiento como una de los detonantes de la locura del padre esto podría ocurrir en cualquier circunstancia, por lo que Jack estaría preso de propio destino de todas formas.

En la película aparecen muchos fantasmas, pero una de las escenas más icónicas es la de las niñas gemelas que murieron asesinadas en el hotel, esta imagen es muy inquietante. Otra de las escenas más increíbles es la donde la esposa trata de huir de Jack, según tengo entendido Shelley Duvall la actriz sufrió mucho por esta escena porque el director la hizo repetir incontables veces porque el quería que su expresiones fueran de verdadera desesperación, esto sin duda es logrado, la actriz lo hace pero según he leído esta situación causó que la estabilidad mental de la actriz se viera muy comprometida y esto es algo muy triste, porque a veces solo apreciamos las películas y no pensamos en los actores.

Another of the most incredible scenes is the one where the wife tries to run away from Jack, as I understand Shelley Duvall the actress suffered a lot from this scene because the director made her repeat it countless times because he wanted her expressions to be truly desperate, this without It is undoubtedly successful, the actress does it, but according to what I have read, this situation caused the mental stability of the actress to be very compromised and this is something very sad, because sometimes we only appreciate the movies and do not think about the actors.
El Resplandor es sin duda una gran película, que pone al espectador en una constante sensación de incertidumbre, así mismo es una historia que deja algunos cabos sueltos que el espectador debe llenar, en este sentido supone un reto, hace algunos pocos años un amigo me dijo que hicieron una película llamada Dr Sleep que trata sobre la vida de Danny, el hijo de Jack, este película me gustó mucho pero creo que sin duda mi admiración fue parte del cariño que le tengo a la película de Kubrick y que sin duda es una película de terror que nunca me cansaría de ver.
The Shining is undoubtedly a great film, which puts the viewer in a constant feeling of uncertainty, likewise it is a story that leaves some loose ends that the viewer must fill in, in this sense it is a challenge, a few years ago a friend He said that they made a movie called Dr Sleep that deals with the life of Danny, Jack's son, I liked this movie a lot but I think that without a doubt my admiration was part of the affection that I have for Kubrick's movie and that it is without a doubt a horror movie that I would never get tired of watching.
