In this story of drama and romance, we are transported to 17th century Netherlands, where we meet Griet, a young maid who enters the home of the famous painter Johannes Vermeer.

As Griet enters the world of art and creativity, she becomes Vermeer's inspirational muse and poses for him in his masterpiece, the portrait known as “The Girl with the Pearl”.

As the relationship between Griet and Vermeer intensifies, forbidden passions and dark secrets are unleashed that threaten to challenge the social norms of the time and change the fate of both forever.
