Introduction:
First of all, cordial greetings to all the members of the CineTv community, I had not written here for a long time, but when I saw this contest I did not think about it, since it seems to me a wonderful opportunity to share an excellent film, with a soundtrack that marked me on a personal level at a very particular moment, because to a certain extent I saw myself reflected in it.
In fact, when I saw the film The Strawberries Statement, in the cinema, it was through the invitation of a colleague, who was starting with me a student newspaper, since at that time we were starting the struggle for the student ticket in my country, that was in the 80's and it was a time of very interesting struggles and student movements, which came to unite high school students, with university students, for the struggle for a common benefit.
Of course, these mobilizations did not go unnoticed by the repressive organs of the State, who acted with their usual brutality, throwing tear gas, hitting us with the famous and now forgotten combs of the National Guard or with the rolls of the now forgotten Metropolitan Police and its special Brigades.
In short, we were kids full of dreams of change, fighting for student rights, against fare increases, against food increases, against corruption, against the payment of the foreign debt and against the aberrant policies of the International Monetary Fund for the people. The wonderful and for me, my well-remembered 80's.
The Movie:
When I saw the film, I saw a number of similarities and at the same time a number of enormous differences, both, political, social and cultural, however, leaving aside the global differences, one could say that the film, reflected the same reality.
I remember that the week we saw the film, there were some raids on our premises, at the high school, because we issued two communiqués about the repression in England, and we made a campaign in support of Bobby Sands and his comrades on hunger strike in British prisons.
And after that situation, we decided to make the first film forums in different community environments, and The Strawberries Statement, was the first choice we made, to generate discussion of the struggles for student and social rights.
The Film Soundtrack:
As for the movie, I remember the song Círculo del Juego, Algo Raro en el aíre, Bajando por el río, un Chance a la paz, Nuestra Casa, among others.
That's why I chose this film for this contest, because it is a film with a theme that we can say is universal, as are the student struggles and for having a soundtrack, wonderful for my musical taste.

CineTV Contest: My Favorite Movie Soundtrack is The Strawberries Statement
Concurso CineTV: Mi banda sonora favorita de una película es Las Fresas de la Amargura.
Introducción:
Antes que nada, cordiales saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad de CineTv, tenía tiempo que no escribía acá pero al ver este concurso no lo pensé, ya que me parece una oportunidad maravillosa de compartir una excelente película, con una banda sonora que me marco a nivel a personal en un momento muy particular, ya que hasta cierto punto me vi reflejado en ella.
De hecho, cuando vi la película The Strawberries Statement, en el cine, fue a través de la invitación de una compañera, que estaba iniciando junto conmigo un periódico estudiantil, ya que en esa época estábamos iniciando la lucha por el pasaje estudiantil en mi país, eso fue en los años 80 y fue una época de luchas y movimientos estudiantiles muy interesantes, que llegó a unir a estudiantes de bachillerato, con estudiantes universitarios, por la lucha de un beneficio común.
Por supuesto, que estas movilizaciones no pasaron desapercibidas, por los órganos represivos del Estado, quienes actuaron con su brutalidad acostumbrada, lanzando gases lacrimógenos, golpeándonos con las famosas ya olvidadas peinillas del Guardia Nacional o con los rolos de la ya olvidada Policía Metropolitana y sus Brigadas especiales.
En fin, éramos muchachos llenos de sueños de cambio, luchando por derechos estudiantiles, contra los aumentos de pasajes, contra los aumentos de comida, contra la corrupción, contra el pago de la deuda externa y contra las políticas aberrantes para los pueblos del Fondo Monetario Internacional. Los maravillosos y para mi muy recordados años 80.
La Película:
Recuerdo que la semana que vimos la película, hubo unos allanamientos en nuestros locales en el liceo, ya que sacamos sendos comunicados contar la represión en Inglaterra he hicimos una campaña de apoyo a Bobby Sands y a sus compañeros en huelga de hambre en las prisiones británicas.
Y después de esa situación, decidimos hacer los primeros cineforos en diferentes ambientes comunitarios, y The Strawberries Statement, fue la primera elección que hicimos, para generar la discusión de las luchas por los derechos estudiantiles y sociales.
La Banda Sonora de La Película:
La música de la película, era común para nosotros en esa época, de hecho todavía la sigo escuchando, era música que escuchábamos en las fiestas, que escuchábamos con nuestras novias, con los compañeros. Nos encantaba el rock y recuerdo mucho que había música de Janis Joplin, Joan Baez, Carol King, Santana, Lenon, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones y muchísimos otros músicos y y grupos, que nunca faltaban en nuestra vida diaria y que convivían con la música de protesta nacional y de otros géneros, en nuestro día a día.
En Cuanto a la película, recuerdo mucho la canción de el Círculo del Juego, Algo Raro en el aíre, Bajando por el río, un Chance a la paz, Nuestra Casa entre otras.
En Fin por eso escogí esta película para este concurso, debido a que es una película, con un tema que podemos decir que es universal, como lo son las luchas estudiantiles y por tener una banda sonara, maravillosa para mi gusto musical.
A las personas que no la han visto le recomiendo verla, ya que sé que no solo van a disfrutas la película sino la música.
