The Story Behind my Username, Akubillionnaire. LOH #65

It's another weekly contest from #LadiesofHive and it came with an interesting question.

What is the story behind your Hive username?

I like this one.. keep reading to get my answer.

My Hive username is Akubillionnaire, it is coined from my middle (native) name and a manifestation of my becoming.

My name is Akuabiale, which is an Igbo word that translate to Wealth has come. It was given to me by the father following the circumstances of my birth.

When I was little, people struggled with pronouncing the name right, even fellow Igbos because it wasn't one of the common names, in fact, I could be the only one bearing the name to the best of my knowledge.

For this reason, it was shortened to Aku, meaning wealth. Not in certification though, just for ease of pronunciation.
Most times, I was referred to as Akubaby (wealth baby 😉).

Well, as I left for college, people got used to addressing me by my English name which is actually a Hebrew name, Ruth.

Sometime early last year, while awaiting resumption of school from the pandemic, I tried learning some gigs and online stuffs that'll yield money in foreign currencies. I can't tell at what point but I just thought to start and keep it as a tradition to speak into existence what I want.

I started out with Akudollars, Akupounds and then Akubillionnaire.
My Parents call me all, ever since I let them in on this reality, while hyping me.
I love Akubillionnaire more because it could be any currency, there's no limitations to my financial growth, Amen?😁

I chose it to be my Hive username and really love it because it's a daily reminder of how much I can become.

When people tag me, I assume they are calling out my name in words, and so doing, they help to speak it into reality.

When I check my wallet, payouts or rewards per post and don't seem to be encouraged, I remind myself what my username is, it is AKUBILLIONNAIRE!!! And there's no stopping, no giving up. I get down? I get back up on my feet and keep it going till the name becomes my reality.

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed it.

@iskafan I know you surely did explain to us why you chose your name in your introductory post. You have one of two options, to re-cap on it or tell us about your most embarrassing moment. This should be fun!
