The Christmas holiday was indeed a cheerful one with so much to share and so many to care💝. Another fabulous week accompanied with intriguing questions that got me excited, and i thought to respond right away but only after taking my time to think through the question I'll love to answer which is,
Every day, many people are becoming more and more obsessed with money and fame. There is a question many have thought about — Would you trade 10 years of life for wealth and fame?
Before I give my Yes/No answer, I'd love to expatiate on a few questions I considered before arriving at my answer.
1️⃣What is Wealth?: Wealth is an abundance of valuable possessions or money. - Oxford Dictionary
2️⃣What is Fame?: Fame is the state of being known or talked about by many people, especially on account of notable achievements.- Oxford Dictionary
3️⃣What is Wealth to me?: Wealth is Money, and, Money to me is a tool, a tool that I can use to Live a comfortable life, to be a blessing to People and to finance kingdom advancement.
Wealth is People, and, the quality of a man's wealth is the abundance of credible people [Family & well-wishers] he has around him.
4️⃣What is Fame to me?: Fame is Influence, and, Influence to me is power, power to change someone or something without directly forcing them to happen.
Everyday I sit in gatherings, I watch the news and the one thing that stands out are NEEDS. The need to step into situations and cause a change. Growing up, I wish I had super-powers to make the world a better place, like the garden of Eden all over again but without snakes😅 [Don't mind me, snakes are indeed fascinating creatures😆]
Imagine if I had the Money and influence to cause that Change? Imagine that you didn't have to dismiss a financial problem or challenges with "it's well, be of good cheer, you'll get through this" then walk away leaving the person with just words [don't get me wrong, words of comfort is powerful, but most times what people need is a miracle, an intervention]
So, my answer will be an Emphatic YES!
Yes I will trade 10 years of my life on earth for wealth & Fame, especially if the 10 years will be deducted from the last 10years of my life. I'd trade to Live a comfortable life, surrounded by family, Friends and well wishers while causing positive global change giving my level best.
I would die a happy soul if I'm able to make this trade [But not with the devil😂]. History has made it Crystal clear what Wealth and Fame can achieve, there is the Good, the Bad and the Ugly sides to wealth & fame, but giving my current knowledge and Purpose-driven-life, I chose the Good.
