Sewing has really become part of me that I just feel excited making different, beautiful and useful item for myself and also give out to people around me, this has really helped me to improve in my sewing skills.

Today, I will be sharing with you the making of this simple double color pouch I made from pieces of left over fabric. As you may know, I love to make use of every pieces of fabric down to the last piece, I believe no piece is useless as far as creativity is concerned.

I decided to try this out to see what could come out of it and I'm glad with the beautiful outcome of this pouch.

Let's get started with the cutting and sewing process

From one of the fabrics, I measured and cut out 2 pieces of 9 x 5"

One of it was placed on another color of fabric to cut out 1 piece of same shape

I also measured and cut out 4 pieces of 3 x 5" 2 as main fabric and 2 as lining.

To the sewing process, I placed the 2 pieces of same color fabric and sew it on both sides of the third piece and sew on both sides.

It was top stitched on both sides and it was used to cut out same shape of lining, it was placed on the right side and sewn round leaving an opening to be turned inside out.

It was turned inside out and top stitched on round with the opening folded in and sewn on.

I placed a zipper on the top of the main fabric to sew it on the right side.

The mid point was marked on the main fabric and I sew the pieces on both sides on the wrong side as seen below

It was the sew up to the zipper edge on both sides and lastly, the zipper was sewn to the other side as well.

This is what the final outcome looks like, I'm glad I was able to make use of these pieces to make a useful pouch, I might decide to give it out or keep it for my personal use.
