Mi momento preferido luego de tener toda mi casa limpia y ordenada, es cuando finalmente termino colocando un aroma rico para disfrutarla. A veces es una esencia, una vela aromática y otras veces un incienso con un fragancia de mis preferidas. Últimamente estoy enamorada de una marca que tiene aromas fuertes y deliciosos, como este de piña que estoy comprando mucho.
Confieso que venía colocando estas varitas de incienso en una de mis macetas, simplemente lo enterraba en la tierra y ahí lo dejaba que se consumiera. Pero hoy decidí realizar un Porta Incienso, reciclando una lata de champiñones y un retazo de loneta estampada. Quiero compartirles este proceso que fue muy rápido, económico y que me dejó muy satisfecha con el producto final.
My favorite moment after having my whole house clean and tidy is when I finally finish placing a nice aroma to enjoy. Sometimes it is an essence, an aromatic candle and other times an incense with a fragrance of my favorites. Lately I am in love with a brand that has strong and delicious aromas, like this pineapple one that I am buying a lot.
I confess that I had been placing these incense sticks in one of my flower pots, I simply buried it in the ground and let it burn there. But today I decided to make an Incense Holder, recycling a can of mushrooms and a scrap of printed canvas. I want to share with you this process that was very fast, economical and that left me very satisfied with the final product.

La lata que reciclé en este pequeño proyecto, tenía una etiqueta y fue muy fácil de retirar. Algunas latas en lugar de etiquetas tiene todo pintado, en este caso también se puede utilizar, solo que para pintar se necesitaría un poquito más de trabajo.
Utilicé pintura esmalte de color blanco, preferí este material en lugar de pintura al frio u otra, ya que el esmalte protege la estructura de metal evitando que se oxide fácilmente. Me parece más cómodo pintar con una esponja, dando solo toques que se van unificando solos. Para obtener le di dos capas de pintura, dejando secar bien entre ambas con 5 horas aproximadamente.
The can I recycled for this little project had a label on it and it was very easy to remove. Some cans have labels painted on them, but in this case it can also be used, but painting would require a little more work.
I used white enamel paint, I preferred this material instead of cold paint or another, since the enamel protects the metal structure, preventing it from rusting easily. I find it easier to paint with a sponge, just dabbing on it and it blends together. To get it I gave it two coats of paint, letting it dry well between each coat, approximately 5 hours.
Como siempre digo, los proyectos que realizamos deben verse bien por fuera y por dentro, así que para pintar por dentro lo hice con un pincel que es más cómodo.
Para dar vuelta a la lata sin pintarme utilicé un clip de presión, pero puede hacerse con cualquier cosa, incluso solo dando vuelta a la base donde pintamos.
As I always say, the projects we do should look good inside and out, so to paint the inside I used a brush, which is more comfortable.
To turn the can upside down without painting, I used a clip, but it can be done with anything, even just turning the base where we paint.
Para colocar el incienso y que no se mueva, utilicé una cuenta de madera. Este material lo pensé tarde, fue la razón por la cual no había realizado este mini proyecto antes. No sabía que usar para ubicar el incienso, es importante saber usar nuestra imaginación para ver que recurso que tengamos nos sirve para algún propósito.
Le coloqué silicón caliente y lo pegué al borde, ya que ahí voy a lograr darle la inclinación necesaria al incienso, para que al quemarse vaya cayendo dentro del recipiente.
To place the incense and keep it from moving, I used a wooden bead. I thought of this material late, which is why I hadn't done this mini project before. I didn't know what to use to place the incense, it's important to know how to use our imagination to see what resource we have that would serve a purpose.
I put hot silicone on it and stuck it to the edge, since that's where I'm going to be able to give the incense the necessary inclination, so that when it burns it falls into the container.
Llegó la hora de divertirse... La mejor parte de los proyectos es la decoración. Inicialmente pensé en utilizar este trozo de loneta estampada para simplemente forrar el envase, pero luego pensé que sería más interesante recortar estas formas y pegarlas individualmente para formar mi propio diseño.
Recorté todas las piezas que quise utilizar, y las pegué con silicón caliente.
It's time to have fun... The best part of the projects is the decoration. I initially thought of using this piece of patterned canvas to simply cover the container, but then I thought it would be more interesting to cut out these shapes and glue them individually to form my own design.
I cut out all the pieces I wanted to use, and glued them together with hot glue.
Quise añadir un plus al diseño, con formas de pétalos igualmente en esta cartulina dorada metalizada, apenas un trozo que guardé de otros proyectos, incluso pueden ver que tiene una forma irregular porque era de un recorte anterior.
La forma de pétalo es muy fácil de hacer, incluso sin dibujarla, solo hacer esa forma simple. La pegué con silicón caliente en lugares o espacios libres del diseño, tantos como fue mi gusto.
I wanted to add a little something extra to the design, with petal shapes also in this metallic gold cardstock, just a piece I saved from other projects, you can even see that it has an irregular shape because it was from a previous cut.
The petal shape is very easy to make, even without drawing it, just making that simple shape. I glued it with hot silicone in places or free spaces of the design, as many as I liked.
Los pétalos dorados que fueron pensado en darle un plus, resulta que resaltan tanto en el diseño que ahora resultan que fueron indispensables para darle personalidad y brillo. Con la luz de la lámpara brillan muchísimo, en la foto no se logra apreciar lo hermoso que son sus destellos.
En persona este Porta Incienso da la impresión de ser una taza, por lo brillante de la pintura blanca y como resalta el dorado. No parece para nada un proyecto de reciclaje.
The golden petals that were intended to give it a plus, turn out to stand out so much in the design that now they turn out to be indispensable to give it personality and shine. With the light of the lamp they shine a lot, in the photo you can't appreciate how beautiful their sparkles are.
In person this Incense Holder gives the impression of being a cup, because of the shine of the white paint and how the gold stands out. It doesn't look like a recycling project at all.
El incienso calza perfectamente en la cuenta de madera para tal fin, y pueden notar que la inclinación que se logra es suficiente para que cuando se vaya quemando el incienso, caiga el polvo dentro del envase.
Es más fácil de ubicar en una mesita que los porta inciensos que son largos y planos, además que no se ve el polvo y eso me gusta más, ya que con los planos a veces al moverlos para limpiarlos se caen en la mesa o en el piso. Pero con este diseño, no tendré ese problema.
The incense fits perfectly into the wooden bead for that purpose, and you can notice that the inclination achieved is enough so that when the incense burns, the dust falls into the container.
It is easier to place on a table than the long, flat incense holders, and you can't see the dust, which I like more, since with the flat ones sometimes when moving them to clean them, they fall on the table or the floor. But with this design, I won't have that problem.
Me gustó mucho como luce el diseño, lo funcional y práctico, la conciencia de aprovechamiento de recursos de descarte o reciclaje.
Es perfecto para decorar un lugar de nuestro hogar, darle mucho amor a cada espacio y también es ideal para regalar siempre que se cuiden los detalles de calidad para que no parezca una simple lata, sino un elemento hermoso.
I really liked the way the design looks, how functional and practical it is, the awareness of taking advantage of discarded or recycled resources.
It is perfect for decorating a place in our home, giving a lot of love to each space and it is also ideal for giving as a gift as long as the quality details are taken care of so that it does not look like a simple can, but a beautiful element.
