If you're not familiar with his work, Lauro is considered one of the greatest guitarists and composers of the 20th century in Venezuela. Interpretar 'La Gatica' fue como sumergirme en un mar de calma y ternura. Los arpegios de la segunda parte, especialmente, me cautivaron por su fluidez y delicadeza. Es increíble cómo una pieza tan sencilla puede transmitir tantas emociones. Aunque no sea la obra más compleja de Lauro, me llenó de alegría poder darle vida a mi manera. ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente a todos los guitarristas que se animen a explorar esta joya! Seguro que se enamorarán de ella tanto como yo.
Playing 'La Gatica' was like diving into a sea of calm and tenderness. The arpeggios in the second part, especially, captivated me with their fluidity and delicacy. It's incredible how such a simple piece can convey so many emotions. Although it's not Lauro's most complex work, it filled me with joy to be able to bring it to life in my own way. I highly recommend all guitarists to explore this gem! I'm sure you'll fall in love with it as much as I did.
