Just doing things in the usual way, as part of a routine, can be challenging in itself. Add to that injuries-- or any other kind of setback-- which can happen at any time and without warning, and it can break us if we aren't prepared.
Whatever we do, we strive to get it done as intended. Along the way we run into obstacles, speed bumps, hurdles, challenges, adversity, etc. Part of our preparation for doing something as intended is to be able to handle unexpected events which have the potential to wipe us out or to make us start over. These are unknown events, and we need to be able to handle the unknown when it happens and as it happens.
Winning championships-- whether it's an Olympic Gold Medal, the Stanley Cup, the FIFA World Cup, or any other prize-- comes at a cost. Part of that cost is injuries. Even winners who want to celebrate are more likely to end up in the trainer's room tending to injuries.
