Morning stroll featuring the skyscrapers of Ortigas Center

Walking to the jeepney station after my night shift has become a part of my daily routine, a moment of quiet reflection amidst the urban hustle of Ortigas Center. Ortigas is where the towering skyscrapers in Pasig City can be found. Even after a year of working here, I'm still fascinated of these towering skyscrapers.

Here are some photos I took this morning while taking a stroll.

This was taken right outside the office where I work. I will cross that pedestrian lane and walk a little more to reach my destination.

If you are familiar with Shopee, an online shopping app, this is where their customer service office is located. Its building is visible from near my office.

Once you see this green nets, it means theres a new building being built nearby. And that is just based from my observation.*

Taking a few more steps, I walked past Starbucks. As I pass-by this area each morning, it feels as if I am being hypnotized by the smell of coffee. It's like the store is inviting me to come in. Too bad, I have to refrain myself from doing so because I need to go to sleep once I get home.

These buildings are located in front of Starbucks.

Once these condominiums are visible, I know that I'm just a few meters away from my destination.

I just need to cross the pedestrian lane near this sidewalk.

Finally, I arrived at my destination and just waiting for my ride home.

This is what those skyscrapers looks like from afar. I was at the footbridge near my home when I took this photo. My workplace where those skyscrapers are located, is just 20 minutes from home—sometimes 15, if traffic is kind. Today, the traffic is not that heavy so I got home earlier than usual.

Walking to the station to wait for a jeepney is not just about saving a few pesos, it's my routine that I’ve come to appreciate. It reminds me of how far I’ve come, not just in distance but in life.
