Pixel-posting | Round 4, Echoes of the Earth...

Hello everyone!

and welcome to another edition of the series widely known as Pixel Posting, where I provide you with my own handmade pixel art materials. Today, we’re tackling another animation or GIF created by me using the Pixaki and Procreate programs, with special brushes that have the resolution of a single pixel.

Let’s start with the bread and butter of what this is all about. In this drawing, I tried some new things, like playing with shadows and adding animations that give the illusion of depth. Personally, I’m in love with this piece and think it turned out quite well, as I managed to convey a dark and slightly unsettling atmosphere of remains that have been lying somewhere in the woods for a very long time, slowly becoming part of nature.
Scenes like this often raise questions—how did this person end up there? What were their last moments like? And how long have they been there? A year, ten, or maybe a hundred years?

Also, personally, I love the little worm crawling on the ground. Look how clueless he is...

I warmly invite you to immerse yourself in this short animation I’ve put together for you. As always, I’m presenting my work in two formats: a GIF version and a simple PNG.

I sincerely hope I’ve managed to surprise you with something new this time because every bit of positive feedback is an extra dose of motivation that helps me grow. So, I highly encourage you to leave even a simple comment. I’m open to conversations and your opinions! 😊

I spent about 4.5 hours perfecting this piece. The animation itself took around 45 minutes to get everything just right and flowing smoothly. I did run into some trouble with the color palette while making it, but I think it turned out pretty fine in the end.

I’m glad you stopped by today, and I’d love to see you again next week! Will you stick around for more?

The programs I used were Procreate, Pixaki, and I also used ChatGPT for assistance with translation (correcting spelling and stylistic errors).
