The world Apart

Life unfolds in threads, a tapestry spun,
To some, it glistens like the morning sun,
While others navigate storms, their sails are torn,
Fending for themselves since the day they were born.

Picture a child, alone in the night,
While another is cradled in warmth, soft and bright.
Such is the fabric of our shared human plight,
For we choose not our parents, nor the stars that ignite.

Acceptance, the burden we carry with grace,
As nature decides our starting place.
Yet we hold the power to rise from the ground,
To break the chains of a fate tightly wound.

This world, a cruel dance of joy and despair,
Where few wish to leave, though pain fills the air.
The lost souls who seek solace in silence profound,
Didn’t dream of a void where hope can't be found.

In shadows we linger, our successes ignite,
Envy's sharp whispers pierce through the night.
And when fortune eludes, many vanish from sight,
While the broken remain, in their struggle, they fight.

The rich, ever hungry, feast on their greed,
While the poor, forgotten, sow poverty’s seed.
An endless rat race, where value is lost,
As society counts coins, ignoring the cost.

We dwell in a realm where pleasure is derived
From another’s misfortune, where bitterness thrives.
Yet to celebrate joy, we stumble and fall,
What a world we inhabit, where empathy’s small.

So weave your own story, with threads of your own,
In a world of indifference, let kindness be shown.
For amidst all the chaos, let love be your guide,
In this tapestry of life, let compassion abide.
