Its been awhile since I showcased some of Splinterlands LORE. With all the new additions its easy to overlook the original OG cards (Alpha & Beta) so here today I'll be showcasing a BETA card and I will also be given that card to a random participant in the comment section. Since I'm typing this post out as it comes to mind I haven't even decided on what card yet. I want it to be one that is useful in play and lets make it one from my favorite Splinter (Death). Looking at my collection I have an abundance of Animated Corpses which is great to use in the little league game format so lets go with that one. Before we go over the rules on how to participate lets take a look at the Animated Corpses Lore/Stats.
Animated Corpse Lore
A fledgling Dark Eternal is also known as an Animated Corpse. Emerging from the Tar Pits of Creation in the Southern Waste of Mortis, each fledgling must first shed what remains of its mortal flesh. While in decay, the Animated Corpses are placed on the front lines to speed their transition. Lore taken from the official Splinterlands site.

Currently there is only one MAX level Animated Corpse for sale on the Splinterlands market and the asking price is $1,379 USD. There are no level nines currently for sale. A total of three level eights are listed for sale which range in price from $41 USD to $412 USD. A level one Animated corpse will cost you around $0.30 USD at current time (11/12/2022). There is one Level Six, three level Fives and a handful of level 4/3/2's listed. Truth be told there isn't many leveled Animated Corpses on market. It would only take a small buying spree from a whale or a handful of players to take interest in this card and all that would be left would be the Level One's and possibly the (in today's market) over priced MAX card.

Many of the creatures of Mortis are terrifying and mysterious, even to the Dark Eternals themselves. When the Dark Tzar convinced him so many years ago to tamper with the rules of death, the Lord of Darkness never knew the true scope of the multitude of terrors he would be unleashing forever onto the Splinterlands.
