Devaluation of Money and Appreciation of Time
Lottery?
An incredible prize.
I started to daydream while watching youtube under my blanket.
What would I do if this money was really mine? Would I keep working? I started to imagine myself as the owner of this money.
But before I can do all these things below, like everyone else, I will have to pay off the debts of my family and some of my relatives. I have some acquaintances who need help, they work really hard and do not have a home, of course, and I would help them, at least put them a roof over their heads. So they do not need to work that hard for the mortgage.
Building a Passive Income Model
I would invest in my friends' 3d work to start the business they wanted and create the grounds for them to work for a year. I would invest in their workplace, pay the annual rent they needed, buy the digital programs they needed, and complete the missing hardware of their computers. Helping them would make us spend more creative time together, even if I know nothing about 3d sculpting, yet.
I imagine myself there. While they were doing their creative work, I think I would sell the things we printed from 3D printing. I also bought a nice painting set, I would continue to paint a lot of minis and terrains anyway. I mean, after all, money runs out quickly. You have to keep making money somehow. Also, the creative work would keep my mind sharp.
I wonder what it would be like if I bought a taxi and rented it out monthly? At least I would have a regular income and I wouldn't spend everything, right... Probably, I would. Because that would be the sensible thing to do in my city. So I can earn passive income and do not need to work as hard as I now.
Tabletop Gaming is My Dream
What about Dungeons and Dragons? Or what about tabletop games in general?
Because it's a very effective way for us to connect with friends and rekindle good relationships. Every time we sit down at the DnD table, we learn people management, learn how to do things together and how to stand together against the world, how to work together...
We also get to be happy and tell exciting stories.
Yes, we do.
I think one of the things I would do is to make a room in this office a Dnd room.
I mean, not just a Dnd room, but like a tabletop gaming room.
We would have a very nice table there, we would have nice equipment to record our games, cameras, lights, microphones...
I can imagine myself there recording videos and playing games.
We already have a youtube project on hold at the moment but because we have to earn money to live, we are all busy and we can't focus as much as we would like. We can't play as much as we want.
We have thought many times that we wish we could make money from this and play at the same time. It would be a lot of fun to play there with the minis we printed ourselves, to play on the handmade terrains. Record it and share it with everyone...
But... Now it is not possible. It would be, with the lottery for sure.
I would do a lot of advertising for people who don't know to come and watch and see how enjoyable this hobby is. It doesn't matter if I have an income from this. As long as the young generation doesn't waste their life and creativity in front of their computer or tablet, done. I want to watch good live plays too. It would be a very, very, very good thing to inspire people.
Oh, man. It warms my heart to imagine it.
Unesco World Heritage List
I would also like to visit the white sandy beaches. Yes. A few famous places, wonders of the world. I would like to visit the places on the UNESCO World Heritage List. That would have been enough. I would start in my own country and then selectively visit other places. These places are mostly tourist attractions, yes, but not everyone wants to go to all of them. I don't think I would want to go to all of them either. Nevertheless, this list can be used as a very good start for a travel plan.
I realized while writing this article that my dreams are not incredibly high in the sky.
Of course, I would also like to travel the world with the woman I love. There are many places I would like to go with her.
Like Norway. I've always been very curious about that place. I especially wanted to see the Aurora Borealis.
My Own Book
I would like to write my own book without fear of whether it will sell or not.
There is a book I have wanted to write for three years. Maybe it will sound very simple to you, but the stories in this book developed while playing board games with my friends. We didn't know much about Dnd back then. We were playing with whatever rules we wanted and we decided to play a game about the invasion of zombies. We enjoyed it so much that we couldn't forget the story afterward.
The story was completely different because it was set in the real world and the characters were familiar. There were celebrities, there were our friends... I would like to write a book about that adventure. Yes, it won't be a very long book, probably around 200 pages. But it would be a standard zombie adventure book.
Even though I know that no one will buy and read it, it would be very enjoyable to put such a book out because we experienced it. Hmm... I guess we couldn't put the famous names that we used in our game, but still. In short, I would like to write and publish this book.
Luxury?
A car? A luxury house? Luxury furniture? I don't want any of that. I just want to have standard stuff that I'm happy with, a standard car. I've never dreamed of a Ferrari in my life, I used to dream of an Audi even when I was a little kid playing Need for Speed. I could probably buy it with lottery money, but it would be at the bottom of my list, way at the bottom of my list, and I would think thirty times before buying it.
You've seen Into The Wild, probably.
Because I watched it when I was a teenager and I read a lot of similar hippie books, I don't think I would invest too much in things with material value. Maybe I would go for daily driving experiences just to try it out, but I would do it as an event for my father-mother-sister or wife to experience it with me, not for the car itself.
So my main purpose in using money would be to create a model where I don't spend time trying to make more money. And enjoy life.
