Daniel's Questions.

"Love, wheelbarrow, and dog," Daniel said, holding on his forehead like it was going to split any second.

"Did Dad give Mum that, too?" He asked, staring at his sister, Natalie.

Closing her eyes deeply, Natalie let out a deep sigh, pulled off her glasses before taking her hands off the keyboard in front of her. "What do you mean by that?" She asked in a tired tone.

"That's what she said when I asked her to marry me." Replied Daniel in a frustrated manner.

"Daniel, may I ask you just one thing?" Natalie said, turning to face her brother.

Narrowing his eyes deeply, he stared at his sister before giving her a nod to go on.

"Why do you think you can disturb me, especially when you see me in such a crucial moment?" Natalie asked, wiping off the sweat on her face.

The room temperature seemed to be dropping as she stared at the clock. She knew she had no time for her brother's shenanigans, but he wouldn't let her be if she didn't answer his ridiculous question.

However, time waited for no man, and Natalie had no time to waste. Pointing to her room's door, which had been left ajar earlier, she stared at her brother before gesturing toward the door.

"Natie, you know I don't understand sign language. Can you just answer my question and then I'll leave. I promise." Daniel responded, giving her a puppy eye.

"I have a project to submit very soon. Do you not want me to graduate college? Would you leave me if I answer your question or ask another and another until the deadline for the project expires?" She questioned.

Shaking her head, she sighed deeply, "I promise to answer your bothersome question when I finish my project."

"But, I need to get my answer now. Just tell me if Dad gave Mom love, wheelbarrow, and dog too." Daniel asked with a pout.

"I don't know about the rest, Daniel, but I do know there's love. Don't…” closing her eyes deeply, she continued, ”don't you dare ask me another thing and just quietly walk out. Mrs. Darby doesn't joke with projects given to her students, and I..."

"But, I just need to ask one more..."

"A harrumph!!! I promise to hunt you every night if I fail my assignment now get out!" Natalie screamed with tears almost staining her eyelid.

Before she could say anything else again, Daniel ran out of her room with his heart almost in his mouth.

"Why does she always make the sound of a wounded lioness? I just want an answer to my very simple question." Daniel murmured before settling down in the sitting room to watch a movie.

With hands moving as fast as lightning on her keyboard, Natalie continued cleaning off the mysterious sweat on her body while typing. Mrs. Darby was a disciplinarian, and she did not joke with her project.

Letting out a deep sigh, Natalie cussed her for asking them to write a fictional story with strong fictional characters on the word, "Glitter". Touching her forehead, she pushed her hair to the back before blowing off air from her lips.

"I need a plot twist to give this a nice ending." She murmured, biting her fingernails. Her eyes found the clock, and she knew she had no time to waste again, doing Mrs. Darby's assignment wasn't just all, but doing a good job counts.

With a deeper sigh, Natalie found her fingers on the keyboard again with her eyes reading her words carefully as her brain poured them out.

Stop! the Dragon Lord said in a commanding tone, but the feisty lady did not. She has seen a lot of glitter in her life, but none could match the one she holds at hand.

The world must see this, she responded with a smile.

...and it was then the Dragon Lord knew. The feisty lady wasn't a woman. She was an alien. An alien whose planet needed a rare glitter to survive.

Staring at her computer screen, Natalie couldn't help the tears that filled her eyes as she pressed the submit button.

"Are you crying because of your project?" Daniel asked in a worried tone.

"Sweet Lord!" Natalie screamed, holding on her chest. "I was sure I never asked God for a baby brother. Why do you wish to send me to life beyond?"

"Where's that?" Daniel asked with curiosity written all over him.

Shaking her head, Natalie closed her laptop before facing her brother. "Do you enjoy sneaking on me that much?"

"You didn't answer my question. I need to know how I can get Debbie love, wheelbarrow, and dog." Daniel replied with a smile.

"How old are you again?" Natalie asked with her hands crossed on her chest.

"I will be 10 years old next month. I am a big boy and can get Debbie what she wants. I want to marry her and live like Mom and Dad." Daniel said with a bigger smile.

Touching her brother's skin, Natalie placed her other hand on her skin, too. "You are running a temperature, Danny. Would you like some soup?"

"Eww, that bitter thing? Take your hands off me and just tell me, or I'll ask Mom and Dad later." He responded.

"That's very good. When Mom and Dad get back from work, sit them down and ask them, okay?" Natalie agreed with a thumbs up.

Swallowing his spit, Daniel cleared his throat and spoke, "What will happen if I ask them?"

"Oh, nothing. It is just that Mom will make you soup and have you stay home to signs of malaria. You know, it needs to be contained." Natalie replied with a smirk.

"Haha, errm, I'll just tell Debbie love, wheelbarrow and dog can't work. She should tell her parents what she wants, not me, and that I am too young to be married. " Daniel responded with a deep sigh before walking to his room to deal with his homework.
