Delicious Spicy Pottage Beans With Chips For Side Dish.

In my country beans is a staple many families enjoy especially the aged because of its protein content and how its lighter than most carbohydrate meals. And its even more nutritious if we cook and add veggies šŸ„— to it making it more nourishing for good health.

So today friends I will be sharing with you the best way we can cook and enjoy our beans in a pottage recipe, and how we can also reduce the gas in beans that usually cause many constipation which is why many donā€™t see beans as regular family meal šŸ„˜.

And here I have prepared the beans with lost of spices to make and give it a warm taste , and to serve have added some crispy fried chips as sides.

Lets prepare this delicious meal šŸ„˜ of pottage beans you will love to tryā¤ļø.

INGREDIENTS:


300 g of brown mix beans
3 large cherry tomatoes šŸ…
2 medium onions šŸ§…
Red palm oil
1//2 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt to taste

STEPS FOR PREPARATION:

Step 1.

I will start by washing the beans thoroughly to remove any dust.

Step 2.

Will set the beans on the cooker to per boil for 10 minutes to bring out the excess gas in beans that causes constipation which I will pour away.

As here above once it boils and foams.

Step 3.

I will sieve the beans off from the per boiling, then add fresh water for the cooking šŸ„˜.

Step 4.


I will wash and slice the cherry tomatoes and onions, then keep readily

Step 5.

Allow the beans to cook for at least 20 minutes to tender , then will add the salt.

And continue cooking until the water drys a bit as above.

Step 6.

Will then add the turmeric , the chili powder, red palm oil and chopped cherry tomatoes šŸ… and onions šŸ§….

Step 7.

Will stir in everything and incorporate well while allowing to cook just few minutes more. Set it down.
