Here my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #24 with a beautiful mural done by Gene Pendon in 2014 :
Générations (more about this work on Art Public Montreal, portrait of 3 generations of Innu woman evoking the importance of the transmission of knowledge ans traditions from one generation to the next.
Gene Pendon is born 1971 in Ottawa and based in Montreal. He's one of founder of Heavyweight : HVW8, Art Galery and music production in Los Angeles and Berlin.
He's very involved with the communities of Nunavut and with this mural he pays tribute to the determination of Innu women who are fighting for the respect and preservation of their rich natural, historical, human and cultural heritage.
