In the Sarah-Maxwell Park at the corner of Dézéry street in the Hochelaga, neighbourhood of Montreal. It's a popular neighborhood that is slowly gentrifying although the inhabitants try to keep a certain social mix. A lot of Street Art in these alleys but I don't go through often enough.

Dans le parc Parc Sarah-Maxwell au coin de la rue Dézéry dans le quartier Hochelaga à Montréal. Il s'agit d'un quartier populaire qui s'embourgeoise lentement bien que les habitants essayent de garder une certain mixité sociale. Beaucoup de Street Art dans ces ruelles que je ne parcoure pas assez souvent.

Dodo Ose

Dodo Ose, French artist that studied at the Beaux-Arts in Cannes but he decided to reorient himself, evolving from the urban style to traditional painting. Now based in Montreal working with the A'Shop too, he created surrealist landscapes that merge figurative and imaginary, poetry and fantasy. And a great writer too... During the last Mural festival, he teamed up with several artists to create the Tyxna Project. They realized another great mural that you can see there : StreetArt #519.

Dodo Ose, artiste français qui a étudié aux Beaux-Arts de Cannes mais a décidé de se réorienter, évoluant du style urbain à la peinture traditionnelle. Aujourd'hui installé à Montréal, il travaille souvent avec A'Shop ou il crée des paysages surréalistes qui fusionnent le figuratif et l'imaginaire. Et un grand writer aussi... Lors du dernier Mural festival, il s'est associé avec plusieurs artistes pour créer le Projet Tyxna avec une autre superbe murale, à voir sur StreetArt #519.

The Pillow Fight was painted in 2017 as part of the City of Montreal's mural art program. Great execution with these two kids doing the battle. I really like the background, with this animal (maybe a lion) looking down on the scene, great color palette chosen by Dodo Ose. He always paints great wall but he does also some tags with his favorite character Mr Tips.

La Bataille d'Oreillers a été peinte en 2017 dans le cadre du programme d'art mural de la ville de Montréal. Superbe réalisation avec ces deux enfants faisant la bataille mais surtout le fond, avec cet animal (peut-être un lion) qui regarde la scène. J'adore la palette de couleurs choisie par Dodo Ose, toujours des murs de grande qualité. Il fait aussi quelques tags avec son personnage préféré Mr Tips :

A little further on, at the corner of Saint-Germain street, we find this other superb mural, this time done by Kevin Ledo, a Montreal artist born in 1978. He often creates realistic portraits with abstract geometric shapes as a background like this mural. I had selected another of his murals for the CCC's Street Art Contest #98 in the universe of Gotham City.

Un peu loin au coin de la rue Saint-Germain, on trouve cette autre superbe murale, cette fois réalisé par Kevin Ledo, artiste montréalais né en 1978. Il réalise souvent des portraits réalistes avec des formes géométriques abstraites pour fond comme c'est le cas pour cette murale. J'avais sélectionné une autre de ses murales pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #98 dans l'univers de Gotham City.

Dream of the Future was made in 2019. Kevin Ledo made several photographs of children in the neighborhood with their parents or grandparents before choosing to make the portrait of this little girl. Beautiful.

Rêve d'avenir a été réalisée en 2019. Kevin Ledo a fait plusieurs photographies d'enfants du quartier avec leurs parents ou grand-parents avant de choisir réaliser le portrait de cette petite fille. Une réussite.
