Today, the weather was perfect, sunny and not too cold, for a little winter stroll through the streets and alleys of Montreal. But there were few discoveries, a lot of toying 😟... Ephemeral Street Art.
While waiting for me to sort the photos, here is a small series about one of my favorite artists Lost Claws. I love his paste-ups with his unique sense of humor :
With this paste-up, thanks to the turtle, I immediately thought of a series of books that I used to read assiduously in my youth : Discworld by Terry Pratchett, a flat planet balanced on the backs of four elephants which in turn stand on the back of a giant turtle. I had a good laugh reading these books. You ?

WHO
Lost Claws aka The Local Annoyance as he defines himself on his Instagram, is street artist specializing especially in wheatpasting. But not always :
his signature is the skull, which I find rather friendly. On the corner Saint Joseph boulevard and Saint Denis Street.
His works appeared in the streets of Montreal in 2017. With his different characters (a big tooth, a skeleton and the Death), he made some dark sarcastic views on our actual society. He always find the right word to define with humor the current situation like this one :
We're all in this together, done during the first Covid lockdown last spring in Montreal. The position of the work is just perfect !
As you can see, I done a lot of posts about Lost Claws :
