Time flew last week (too much workload) and this morning the Internet decided to let me down. So back after a long absence on Hive with another great mural done in 2019 by the duo Waxhead and Cryote on the walls of the bookstore Librairie Henri Julien :
We recognize their style! 😀
WHERE
Librairie Henri Julien, 4800 Henri Julien Avenue, Montreal, Canada.
Founded in 1987, the bookshop specialises in the sale and purchase of old and rare second-hand books. It's always worth a visit...

WHO
Waxhead
Born in Toronto, Waxhead is street-artist, painter, and creature creator (as he says) now based in Montreal since 2012. His style is quite unique, very coloured and detailed full of whimsical creatures. His nickname comes from high school when he used to paint characters with dripping heads.
"I like using simple shapes to create faces and creatures. I also enjoy taking elements like circles to make eyes and manipulating them to make weird crazy faces. Now, my goal is more to change how people feel when they look at an old photograph or at a painting. It’s about seeing what they can explore and find multiple meanings or characters in it." - Waxhead (source Interview for Mural Festival
Cryote
Based also in Montreal, Sebastion Millar aka Cryote is street-artist closed to the 203 crew.
WHEN
- 2019.
