Beer Tasting: Tangerine Express IPA, 28 Hazelnut Porter And Buenave...

Hello, beer tasters! 🍻 😎 🍻

What's up? Today is #beersaturday and a new opportunity to try some new flavours that I have properly chilled in the fridge waiting for this event.
Lucky I'm doing this and don't care about what's going on in the world right now.

As you can see, the crypto is kind of not moving anywhere, it looks like there really has been a strong correction down. The only good thing is that I can have a beer (or two, or three, ...) and not be too worried about these falls, because they will go up again.
In the meantime, as I mentioned, the beer is waiting :)

Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA

Brewed by Stone Brewing, Escondido, California, US. Can, 0.33l, alcohol 6.7% ABV. These guys are not joking with this beer. They are serious:

This ain’t no just-add-juice approach. This one is for adults. This is Stone. We like our IPAs to taste like IPAs. Big, bold, and not for kids.

Huh... From this brewery I tasted Ripper and it was very good, and Neverending Haze which was not so good for my taste.

The beer is a cloudy yellow color, the head is nothing special, more like a little, and even that disappears quite quickly. The first sip is bitter, distinctly bitter, with citrus flavors, of course, tangerine and pineapple, which dominate throughout. A very strong IPA.
I like it. So pronounced a taste that I don't think I could drink more than two of these at a time. It would be nice to have another one in the fridge. As the next beer is a porter I should really freshen my mouth because I can still feel that bitterness.

Bergkonig's #28 Hazelnut Porter

Brewed by Tektonik Brewery, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 4.7% ABV. As they say:

As the name suggests, #28 Hazelnut Porter is flavored with a roasted hazelnut aroma that is pleasant in itself, but at the same time slightly suppresses the harshness of the coffee aroma. The sweet and hoppy bitterness is delicate and rounded. Like chocolate with hazelnuts.

We shall see. I've already tried Bergkönig's #33 Session NEIPA and it's a great beer.

It's dark brown, almost black, and there is a little head. Right from the first sip, the roasted hazelnut flavor is the most pronounced, with a little coffee in the background, maybe some chocolate bitterness, and of course hops...
The hazelnut flavor is very pronounced and lingers for a long time. I don't know, it's too much hazelnut for me. I hardly drank it all the way through.
I don't like it and my fridge won't see it.

Stone Buenaveza Salt&Lime Lager

Another Stone beer, can, 0.35 l, alcohol 4.7 %ABV.
Salt&Lime lager sounds good to me, ideally on a hot summer day. Let's taste!

The beer is light yellow, the head is medium but disappears quickly. The first sip has a distinctly fresh taste, lots of citruses (lime and lemon), a little bitterness, a little malt. A classic lager but with a solid citrus aroma throughout. But where is the salt? Ah, after this beer the salt will make me thirsty again and I'll have to have another...
Very refreshing I would say, really suitable for the hot summer ahead. I should get some for the holidays.

Anyway, if you've read all this I would advise you to avoid roasted hazelnuts in beer. :)
