How can we write about the history of rock without being able to talk about the greatest of all, the great Elvis Aaron Presley, better known as Elvis Presley,

I'm going to do a review of his life and the music industry, so I hope you enjoy writing this as much as I do.

So let's get started.

His life until he reaches 18 years old:

  • Originally from Mississippi, he was born in a town called Tupelo on January 8, 1935. In the town where he lived he was of African-American origin and this made gospel, country, and rhythm and blues influence him.

(1953-1955) His first steps in music:

  • "That's All Right" and "Blue Moon of Kentucky" (1954) were the first songs Sam Phillips recorded. These songs already show how he began to incorporate elements of R&B, country, and gospel,

In (1956-1958) he became famous

  • "Heartbreak Hotel" in (1956) "Hound Dog" / "Don't Be Cruel" in (1956) "Love Me Tender" in (1956) and "Jailhouse Rock" (1957) were the songs that brought him to music stardom, but the song that brought him to number 1 on the charts was "Heartbreak Hotel"

If you notice, there is not a single song that was not a success in its beginnings and we already know that not all songs are usually liked, but in the case of Elvis, they are all very good.

(1960-1968) Arrival in the cinema

  • At this stage he was heavily criticized for lack of creativity in his songs, and he had good reason to do so since "It's Now or Never" was an Adaptation, but when he released the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" in (1961) he was launched back to the top.

(1968-1973) Like the phoenix, it rises from its ashes

  • Thanks to the special he did on television called "Comeback Special" he was reborn as the great artist that he was and in the song "Suspicious Minds" which he did not write but adapted, he reflected the evolution of his style.

In (1973-1977) the sad end

A famous magazine said of him:

Beginning in his 70s, Elvis began to struggle with health problems and addiction. Despite that, he continued to be one of the most influential figures in music.

  • "Burning Love" (1972): One of his last, most popular rock songs, it showcases his unmistakable energy.
  • "My Way" (1977): Recorded in his later years, it is an emotional rendition of the Frank Sinatra classic, with an implicit sense of farewell.

Elvis passed away on August 16, 1977, at Graceland, but his legacy lives on as one of the most influential artists of all time.

You know what I think. That this man will never, ever be forgotten and for me he was a victim of his innocence and humility, since he came from a humble family, everything came to him very quickly and he was not able to assimilate it.

Well, that's all for today, so tomorrow more and better.
