There are many similarities to other social media... we shall give things that set us apart.
- The overall experience feels more like a social media but the posts can feel like Blogs.
- You can post really long articles with pictures and videos OR just a quick image.
- You can edit text Size, Bold, Italics, bullet points, link text and more.
- The most common text-editor uses a system called "Markdown" which takes some getting used to.
- Content can be edited or deleted but there's always a record of changes.
- Votes by users help sort content and also reward posts and comments.
- Posts display audio-visual by referencing the original location of the picture/video.
- Users/projects using hive are very sensitive of copyright infractions.
- You can classify your posts with searchable topic words
- You can schedule, save drafts and make templates and even save common text as "snippets".
- You can post into communities which have content/comment moderation.
- Outside of communities there is no moderation and people can say things you may not like and no moderators to hide comments.
- When you have a PeakD/Hive account you can use that login on many other sites.

- Always developing new features for the good of community.
- Self funded project.
- The whole community does well when you do well.
3. You can use votes to reward your viewers for interacting.
- Votes have usually small values but you'll see they increase viewer-creator connections.
- Also votes can be used to curate the order of comments to bring best interactions to the top.
4. Posting on PeakD.com puts your post on all sites that display Hive Posts.
