First, let me say I tried posting on the CCC front end, www.creativecoin.live, and it would not let me post any pictures so I had to post them to my blog here. Whoever is managing that website needs to look into this problem. If I get repeated errors when trying to upload a picture I cannot post there. Not upset or anything just letting you know about that problem. I hope it gets figured out soon! Now to my post!
I got the step van back from the glass shop with new windshields in it. Looking much better now, went and got some new wipers for it, just have not got them on as of yet. It has been raining here for the last few days so in between rain showers or storms, depending on what you want to call them, I have been getting a bunch of the stickers off of the van from the guy that I bought it from. He had his phone number and some other stuff on the sides of the step van.
Those things were a pain to get off, they had been on there a while and I used a razor blade to start them and it seemed like every time I thought that letter or number would be off the step van the vinyl would rip. So it was a little of a process to get them all off. Finally got them all off of the bottom of the Stepvan, I still need to work some on the sides of the step van but it will have to wait for another day as it started raining on me.
I will have to get something to get the adhesive off of the metal so I can sand and repaint the step van. Even though the numbers and letters are gone the adhesive residue still lets what was there still show up, plus the paint is not as faded under the stickers. I was going to get the step van wrapped but that is way too expensive to do. It was like 1200.00 to 1500.00 to get it done. I will do what I can and just get on the road. I am tired of sitting and waiting for things to be perfect. I will be calling Monday and getting someone to service the step van and check the front bearings as they were growling at me coming back from the glass shop. Painting the step van can wait I want to get it insulated and some stuff set up for camping and I am going to start around the house, hitting some camping spots close to my area. I want to check everything out and be close to home in case something happens or there is something I need to change or add to make it easier to live in for me.
I can now see out of the windshield driving and not look around the cracks that were in the windshield. Makes it much easier to see where I am going. Ok well, that is what has been going on here.
