The film Battle: Los Angeles (also known as Battle: LA) is a 2011 American military science fiction action film directed by Jonathan Liebesman and written by Chris Bertolini. It stars Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan, Ne-Yo, and Michael Peña. The film follows a squad of U.S. Marines who defend Los Angeles from an alien invasion.

The film is set in Los Angeles in 2011, where a massive spaceship arrives and hovers over the city. A human fighter squadron is scrambled, but their missiles act erratically due to countermeasures being broadcast from the ship. The entire squadron is quickly destroyed, except for a female pilot named Lt. Solano, who ejects from her plane before it is destroyed.

Smaller alien craft suddenly attack a military base near Los Angeles. Marine Lt. Michael Nantz and his platoon are dispatched to rescue the survivors and defend the base. Nantz and his men are outnumbered and outgunned, but they manage to fight off the aliens and rescue the survivors.

However, this is just the beginning of the invasion. The aliens launch a massive attack on Los Angeles. Nantz and his platoon are ordered to defend the city hall. They are joined by other Marines, as well as Air Force and Army personnel.

Nantz and his men fight bravely, but they are eventually overwhelmed by the aliens. Just when it seems like all is lost, Lt. Solano arrives in a captured alien fighter craft and destroys the alien mothership. The remaining aliens flee, and the city is saved.

Battle: Los Angeles is a fast-paced and action-packed film with impressive special effects. It is a film that will appeal to fans of science fiction and action movies. However, the film has been criticized for its lack of character development and its clichéd plot.

Overall, Battle: Los Angeles is an entertaining film that is worth watching for its action sequences and special effects. However, it is not a film that will stay with you long after you have seen it.
