Just Getting Started (2017) is an American action comedy film directed by Ron Shelton and starring Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, Rene Russo, Elizabeth Ashley, and Glenne Headly.
The film follows the story of Duke Diver (Freeman), a former mob lawyer who is now the manager of a luxurious retirement community in Palm Springs, California. Duke is living the good life, enjoying the sun, the women, and the respect of his residents.
However, Duke's peaceful life is disrupted when Leo (Tommy Lee Jones), a former FBI agent, arrives at the community. Leo is immediately at odds with Duke, and the two men quickly become rivals.
As their rivalry escalates, Duke and Leo are forced to put aside their differences when they are both targeted by a hitman. The two men must now work together to survive and uncover the identity of the person who wants them dead.
Just Getting Started is a lighthearted and entertaining film with a strong cast. Freeman and Jones are both excellent as the two bickering rivals, and they are well-supported by the rest of the cast.
