The 2018 film Overboard is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name. The film stars Eugenio Derbez as Leonardo Montenegro, a spoiled, wealthy playboy from Mexico, and Anna Faris as Kate Sullivan, a struggling single mother of three daughters.
Leonardo is accustomed to a life of luxury and privilege. He has never had to work a day in his life, and he is used to getting whatever he wants. Kate, on the other hand, is a hard-working woman who is just trying to make ends meet. She is constantly juggling her two jobs while also raising her daughters.
When Leonardo falls off his yacht and suffers from amnesia, he is found by Kate. Seizing the opportunity, Kate convinces Leonardo that he is her husband. Leonardo is initially resistant to this idea, but he eventually comes to accept his new life.
As Leonardo begins to adjust to his new life, he starts to learn the value of hard work and family. He takes on a job as a handyman, and he begins to bond with Kate's daughters. Kate, in turn, starts to see Leonardo in a new light. She realizes that he is not just a spoiled playboy, but also a kind and caring man.
As Leonardo and Kate grow closer, they begin to fall in love. However, their relationship is threatened when Leonardo's family comes looking for him. Leonardo must now decide whether to return to his old life of wealth and privilege, or stay with Kate and his new family.
