alternatetext

Terminator Genisys is a 2015 science fiction action film directed by Alan Taylor and written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. It is the fifth installment in the Terminator franchise and a reboot of the series, taking the premise of the original film in another direction and ignoring the events depicted in sequels and the television series.

The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, who reprises his role as the Terminator. It also stars Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J. K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matt Smith, Courtney B. Vance, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt, and Lee Byung-hun.

The story follows Kyle Reese, a soldier in a post-apocalyptic war against Skynet, who is sent from 2029 to 1984 to prevent Sarah Connor's death. However, when he arrives, he discovers that Sarah is already a skilled fighter and has a Terminator guardian (Schwarzenegger) by her side.

Faced with unlikely allies and dangerous new enemies, Reese sets out on an unexpected new mission: reset the future.

Terminator Genisys is a complex and convoluted film, with a plot that has been criticized by some for being too confusing. However, the film also features some impressive action sequences and special effects.

Overall, Terminator Genisys is a mixed bag. It is a film that will likely appeal to fans of the Terminator franchise, but it may not be as enjoyable for general audiences.
