Plot

Rachel Marron ( Houston) is a famous pop singer and actress who has been receiving death threats from an unknown stalker. Her manager, Bill Devaney (Gary Kemp), hires former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer (Costner) to protect her.

Frank is initially reluctant to take the job, but he eventually agrees after Rachel convinces him that she is in real danger. Frank implements a strict security regime, which Rachel at first finds intrusive and restrictive. However, she eventually comes to appreciate his dedication and professionalism.

As Frank and Rachel spend more time together, they develop a romantic attraction. However, Frank is hesitant to pursue a relationship, knowing that it could compromise his ability to protect her.

Meanwhile, the stalker continues to send Rachel death threats and even bombs her dressing room. Frank is determined to find the stalker and stop him before he can hurt Rachel.

With the help of his former Secret Service colleagues, Frank eventually tracks down the stalker. The stalker is killed in a shootout with Frank, but not before he injures Rachel.

Rachel survives the attack, and she and Frank finally confess their love for each other. The film ends with Rachel and Frank sharing a kiss.
