Plot
The plot of Tropic Thunder revolves around a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie who are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying due to a series of freak occurrences. The main cast consists of action star Tugg Speedman, Australian Academy Award winner Kirk Lazarus, two-bit comedian Jeff "Fats" Portnoy, rapper Alpa Chino, and rookie actor Kevin Sandusky. The film is based on the memoirs of Vietnam War veteran 'Four Leaf' Tayback, who is played by Nick Nolte in the movie.
