Strange Honeymoon

Two strange things happened that day.

The sun was setting on the horizon, painting the sky with its golden hue. Two newlyweds, John and Jane, were standing at the balcony of their beautiful suite in the beach resort, admiring the breathtaking view of the Bahamian sea. They had just arrived from their wedding and were already in love with the experience: luxurious amenities, secluded atmosphere, and a whole month to enjoy each other's company and bodies.

John and Jane spent their first few days of the honeymoon walking around the beach, swimming in the ocean, enjoying the fine cuisine of the resort and, obviously, as expected from newlyweds, inside their bedroom. It was a dream coming true.

But one evening, while they were watching the sunset, Jane noticed a large group of people walking towards the resort. They were all strong, large men dressed in expensive tuxedos and with weapons holstered in their waistband. In the middle of the bodyguards, a man walked by almost unnoticed, dressed all in black and with a hat stuck on his head to hide his face.

"What's all the fuss about?" Jane asked

"Huh, probably some billionaire came to the resort. I told you! I chose the best resort in the world for our honeymoon!"

In the following day, Jane became weird and totally changed her ways. Instead of spending the day at her husband's side, she preferred to be alone in the suite. She also started to walk around the hotel at random hours just to "grab some air".

What John didn't knew is that Jane was a professional thief. She was really enjoying the honeymoon but, now that she found out about the anonymous billionaire, she couldn't help but plan to rob him. She was determined to make a bank, and she couldn't throw away this opportunity that felt into her lap.

"I'll make up for John later; this robbery will be easy-peasy".

And so, on that night, she decided that it was time to act: she saw several bodyguards going to the Pool Bar and presumed that the billionaire was watching the mariachi band. She dressed up in the less-flashy-clothes that she has brought, and snuck into the billionaire’s suite.

A few steps inside the door, Jane was hit by a blow to the head and, before passing out, she can hear the voice of one of the guards on the radio: "Yes, sir, we got her. You can come to the room, you're safe now."

Jane woke up disoriented after a few minutes, and was quite confused as she was hearing her husband's voice shouting at the bodyguards: "That's my wife, you damn brutes! Why did you do this to her?"

"Wh--- What's going on? John? Run, John! They'll kill you! Run!"

"My love! Are you OK? Thank God... And why would my guards kill me? Oh, I see. Well, let me explain one thing to you..."

A long time ago, John inherited a vast wealth from his father's uncle and was now incredibly rich; but he, in fact, didn't liked the wealth, as it just attracted bad people and gold diggers. A few years ago, he decided to live a new life, undercover, using a fake name.

Nonetheless, he was still a billionaire after all, and could be targeted by criminals; so when they had to leave their hometown to enjoy their honeymoon, he made up this whole "anonymous billionaire" facade just to justify having his bodyguards around.

"Now I know that you're a thief, and you know that I'm a billionaire. Shall we enjoy the rest of the honeymoon without you trying to rob me again, my dear wife?"
