What Is GHAWG?
#GHAWG is short for "God's Hog: A Watchful Guardian." This fictional story tells how David Guardia, a courier and business owner from Bayonne, New Jersey, US moved into the next phase of his life after spending the final ten years of his ailing father's life helping him.

| 🏍️ Until this point, the daily zapfic serial focused on David Guardia. Much of his interaction has been with co-pilot Rhonda Bella, and Harry Hoqualogue of The Mongols. Most of the riders with him are non-playing characters (NPCs), but a few of them are necessary for developing the story. Among these are Sanjay Rampersad and Lionel Odunsi 🏍️ One reason Lindsay Etxeberria was added into GHAWG was to set up situatons where the other characters could interact with each other, to show character development, and to show them acting on their own merits. Without Lindsay Etxeberria, #GHAWG would have ended a while ago instead of grow into The GHAWG Universe with 2 sequel zapfic serials on the way. |

| 🏍️ In ancient times, popularity and public interest grew thanks to word of mouth. Media as we know it didn't exist then. Even in a world where writing was limited, people relied on oral communication for most of what they learned. We live in the 21st Century AD, and we can learn of events on the other side of the world in the time it takes to read this sentence. Part of this immediate access to news is online video (with or without social media). Viral videos are a special class of videos, and David Guardia found himself the subject of a few surrounding the same incident: the explosion which nearly killed him. |

🏍️ During the early days of LeoThreads at LeoFinance (now called InLeo), @l337m45732 (0xNifty.nft, the GM:FRENS Overlord and NFT creator) popularized the expression GM FRENS by creating the #gmfrens hashtag for us to use at LeoThreads to mine the $GMFRENS token on WAX blockchain. GMFRENS caught on quickly, and it's become part of LeoThreads culture.🏍️ Part of David Guardia's story is the cryptocurrency he earns on the side for the decentralized blog he had been keeping for at least six years, since 2020. Rhonda Bella has a good amount of ETH among her cryptocurrency holdings. Now we see The Kids (Sanjay and Lionel, and now Lindsay) immersed in the culture surrounding cryptocurrency. |

It may be different for the planners amont them, but for those on the streets it's what they know. Lindsay Etxerberria had been one of those activists, and it nearly cost her her life. She had been offered a chance to start over with a clean slate. |

| 🏍️ Hank Marchencko and Frank Marchenko-- The Marchenko Brothers, the Marchenko Twins, The Twins, or The Brothers Marchenko (my preferred name for them)-- are older than The Kids, but younger than David Guardia and Rhonda Bella. Their family immigrated to the United States in the early 20th Century from the Russian part of the area we know today as Ukraine. | 🏍️ One reason many people feel religious fatigue is because we hear the same messages over and over, told in the same ways repeatedly. We need to hear something new. Even if we need to be reminded, we need to be reminded in new ways. When we expect it from a cleric or a religious person, we recognize the pattern and just let it pass over us. When it comes from a stronger or an unexpected source, we tend to feel the impact. For Lindsay, this is one of those times. 🏍️ Saul of Tarsus-- later to become Paul, author of many New Testament books-- had been one of the greatest persecutors of the early Christians. After his blinding experience and his initial imprisonment, he had become the greatest of the first Christian missionaries in Asia Minor, Greece, and Rome. Lindsay Etxeberria's story is modeled in part on this; she will go on to help others like her achieve escape velocity and break away from the grip of the activist life as she had known it. |

Story Arc So Far
The story shifts a bit as the focus turns to The Kids (foreign exchange students Sanjay Rampersad and Lionel Odunsi), the Twins (Hank & Frank, the Brothers Marchenko), and Lindsay Etxeberria (a new addition to The Kids). In their own ways, they each show Lindsay what it's like to have faith without following the same tired patterns we've seen both in media and in our own lives.

Lindsay continues her reawakening to faith as practiced where the rubber meets the road, by other young people and by flawed individuals who nevertheless believe. She also gets thrown for a loop by The Twins.

This entry shows David Guardia designing the logo for his business, Guardia Courier Services; it's also meant to be a flashback to an earlier time before #GHAWG begins.
