What Is GHAWG?
#GHAWG is short for "God's Hog: A Watchful Guardian." This fictional story tells how David Guardia, a courier and business owner from Bayonne, New Jersey, US moved into the next phase of his life after spending the final ten years of his ailing father's life helping him.

| 🏍️ Even though Rhonda Bella Guardia gave to Lindsay Etxeberria her Victory motorcycle as a gift, she had been riding it since the ride east along Old Route 66 so that Lindsay could spend more time with Sanjay Rampersad. Lindsay was merely taking back (at least for the moment) her motorcycle. The big winner in this scenario, of course, is David Guardia since he can spend more time with his wife and bride. |

It's also meant to present David Guardia's lack of surprise on hearing this about Sanjay Rampersad. Despite being a prophet of The Lord, he could have remained his dumb-old self from before his Epic Ride to know that Sanjay had been betrothed. |

| 🏍️ This is a continuation of the previous zapfic entry. It offers us new details about David Guardia's past, including where he worked before setting up Guardia Courier Services. It also shows how emotionally immature Lindsay Etxeberria can be at times despite her age. David needed to make Lindsay aware of the age of Hindu civilization, Sanjay's home culture, to remind her that it had to be doing something right if arranged marriages were still being done even in this day and age. 🏍️ Bear Stearns was one of two investment banks which failed in 2008. Bear Stearns failed in March 2008; to avoid bankruptcy, it was sold to JPMorgan Chase. The 2nd investment bank, Lehman Brothers, was allowed to go bankrupt 6 months later in September 2008. At the time, this was the largest bankruptcy in American history. This is believed to have triggered the global financial crisis of 2008, and its ramifications are being felt even to this day. |

| 🏍️ This zapfic entry fills a gap near entry 372. It confirms what David Guardia had suspected about Sanjay Rampersad: betrothal from an early age. 🏍️ Mister Spock, the iconic Vulcan from the Star Trek franchise portrayed by Leonard Nimoy for decades between television and motion pictures, was known for (among other things) his characteristic eyebrow arch. David Guardia tried to do this (and failed) when Rhonda Bella Guardia told him she wanted to see him wear hot pink while working for her as an executive assistant until he had his own income stream set up. A short time later, after they began riding east along Old Route 66, the uncanny Manny Rey makes a special appearance to David to reveal Rhonda's true role in his life; during this visionary moment, the uncanny Manny Rey made the perfect Spock eyebrow raise. Fast-forward to a stop in Arizona, and David succeeds in making this facial gesture. |

Lindsay Etxeberria is still annoyed at Sanjay Rampersad's status as an unavailable male, but she resigned herself to the fact that he is committed to keeping his promise. It took David Guardia to show Lindsay how committed Sanjay was, and then she understood. |

| Lindsay saw Lionel & me in the common area watching "Amok Time," the episode from Star Trek where Spock has to return to Vulcan to mate or die. She threw a bagel at Lionel. "What did I do?" I said to him "Sanjay"; he nodded. |

| 🏍️ "Amok Time" is one of the most-viewed episodes of the classic Star Trek series. It's on many fans' lists as a "Top 10" episode. It shows Mister Spock as viewers had not seen him until that point. The basic plot is that Spock must return to Vulcan to take his mate or else he was going to die due to biological factors beyond the control of any Vulcan. Lindsay Etxeberria must have known about this particular episode for her to react as emotionally as she had to an innocent bystander (Lionel Odunsi). 🏍️ The night I queued up this zapfic entry-- 2024-April-21-- this very episode aired on cable TV in the 11pm time slot. |

Zapfic entries for this week were made to fill in gaps concerning the emotional turmoil Lindsay Etxeberria is feeling once she knows that Sanjay Rampersad is betrothed to his bride back home in India. Although The Twins don't appear in any of these zapfic entries, they must be aware of the situation by the fact that Lindsay is riding alone (on the Victory motorcycle) rather than with Sanjay on his Triumph motorcycle.
