What is "Big Government"?. For some it's a measure of government-spending, some think it's the amount of control, through laws, regulation and policing and others think it's a combination of both. Anarchists believe in a society without government or minimal and/or decentralized government, where the state only protects borders, individual freedom and private property by providing the military, the police and courts.

Many people believe that the government's size, whatever they think that means, should be kept as small as possible, most of them on the political right. Big government is readily associated with socialism, especially in America; the word has lost most of its meaning in that country, with some people even believing that socialism is "when government does stuff"...
All that has been a prelude to the video I'd like to share with you; it's a commentary to one of PragerU's many video's with blatant conservative propaganda filled to the brim with factual errors. This one is about poverty and "big government" in Central and South America. The PragerU video is narrated by a millionaire from Guatemala, who explains how "big government" destroyed the country. It completely omits or justifies the covert actions and economical sanctions aimed at Guatemala, as well as at many other Central and South American countries, that could have something to do with the poverty.
Bolivia's Morales is still in exile and excluded from his country's next elections. America is still attempting regime change in Venezuela. And From Guatemala's last 14 elections, spanning more than 60 years, the country's had only one leftist government, the rest were all right wing, conservative free market supporters. The video if full of nonsense. BadEmpanada does a far better job explaining all of this that I could at the moment, so please enjoy the video.
