Don't let someone else's opinion of you become your reality.

-- Les Brown

About the Quote

Most people will know know you from the few moments they are in contact with you. For some people, you are a genius. For other people, you are a fool. For a different set of people, you are a slob. Yet another set of people, you are charismatic.

We can't control what people think of us, especially people we've never met in person. Timing is a part of that, too. We know what we know; it's not our fault that people ask about what we don't know. We may be in the middle of a massive reorganization in our lives, and for a moment things area a genuine mess.

Each of us knows our good qualities, our bad qualities, and what we need to do to improve as human beings. We need to define ourselves on our own terms, not those of others.
