This weekend, including the days of this week themselves, have been really full of activities of all kinds, which is why I have not been able to spend as much time on Hive as I would like; however, I always manage to find some time for the blog. Precisely, today I will tell you about the many activities I did this past weekend, is the title and the main image of the post curious? Keep reading, at the end you will understand the reason for that title. Having said all that, let's get started!
My weekend started with a lot of work early in the morning in my garden. I was cleaning, removing weeds, fertilizing the plants and organizing the yard a bit. In a previous post I showed you how I had prepared the ground for planting.

Shortly after that publication I managed to get some seeds, so I managed to plant several small things. I also managed to get the pineapple "seeds" and planted them; therefore, I will be harvesting pineapples in about a year.
In the picture above you can see the pineapple plants on the left and a nice bunch of cambur/banana on the right. From that previous post it was very small, but look how it has grown; within a couple of weeks it will be ready to eat.
Other seeds I found, were spinach seeds. As seen in the picture below, I sowed them in seedlings and then transplanted them into the ground. In just over two months they have grown quite a bit....
In my backyard I planted several things, plantain, cassava and pineapples, so I had to plant other seeds that I bought in pots. In the image below you can see the different types of plants that I have in pots and soil beds.
What I have planted there are tomatoes, peanuts and various legumes. It is not the same as sowing directly in the ground, but with proper care you can get good results even if you sow in artificial pots or beds...
After working hard in my garden, I had to spend Saturday and Sunday with my cousin, because her parents left her at my grandmother's house and well, someone had to play with her and help her do the homework that was to be mailed on Monday.
But it wasn't all homework or activities, no. At my grandmother's house everyone is busy either cooking or taking care of my grandmother, that's why I got to take care of my cousin when I was visiting. I did help her with her homework, but I also got to play with her and her dolls, yes sir, I played with dolls, I helped her make dresses and well, things you do when you have a younger cousin, but we had a lot of fun.
Changing the subject, although I had been working on a figure during the week, it was this weekend when I finally finished it. It is a Thanos figure, which I finished, of course, in the company of my cousin.

However, it is a figure that I am very proud of because I liked the result and I wanted to share it with the users of this great community, so they can see it in case they have not seen it. It was a good idea to make this figure with my cousin, because this way I could entertain her during most of the day, children are very restless and it is not easy to entertain them with something...
You probably already know why I titled the post "Infinity Weekend" and yes, it's a play on words in reference to "Infinity War", the movie where Thanos appears. But I didn't write that title just because of the representative figure of the character, no, also because that weekend my cousin and I marathoned Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, a couple of movies she hadn't seen.
This marathon was excellent for me, because we prepared some wonderful sandwiches to eat while we watched the movies:
The sandwich in the photo I also used for another contest, but that's not the point. The important thing is that we enjoyed making an excellent Thanos figure, a five hour marathon of two entertaining movies and three sandwiches that we devoured in parts throughout that marathon. I was also busy repairing a TV and a computer, but I'm not going to lie, it was a weekend I enjoyed a lot.

Este fin de semana, incluyendo los mismos días de esta semana, han estado realmente cargados de actividades de todo tipo, razón por la cual no he podido estar tanto tiempo en Hive como me gustaría; sin embargo, siempre logro sacar algo de tiempo para el blog. Precisamente, hoy les contaré acerca de las tantas actividades que hice este fin de semana que pasó. ¿Les resulta curioso el título y la imagen principal de la publicación? Continúen leyendo, al final entenderán el por qué de ese título. Dicho todo esto, ¡Comencemos!
Mi fin de semana comenzó con mucho trabajo desde bien temprano en mi huerto. Estuve limpiando, eliminando malezas, fertilizando las plantas y organizando un poco el patio. En un post anterior les mostré cómo había preparado el terreno para sembrar.

Al poco tiempo de esa publicación logré obtener algunas semillas, así que logré plantar varias cosillas. También logré conseguir las "semillas" de la piña y las sembré; por lo tanto, estaré cosechando piñas dentro de un año aproximadamente.
En la imagen de arriba se aprecian las plantas de piña a la izquierda y un buen racimo de cambur/banana a la derecha. Desde aquella publicación anterior estaba muy pequeño, pero miren cómo ha crecido; dentro de un par de semanas estará listo para consumir.
Otras de las semillas que encontré, fueron las semillas de espinaca. Como se observa en la imagen de abajo, las sembré en semilleros y luego las trasplanté a la tierra. En poco más de dos meses han crecido bastante...
En mi patio sembré varias cosas, plátano, yuca o mandioca y las piñas, así que me tocó sembrar en porrones otras semillas que compré. En la imagen a continuación pueden ver los distintos tipos de plantas que tengo en porrones y camas de tierra.
Lo que tengo allí sembrado es tomate, maní y legumbres variadas. No es lo mismo que sembrar directamente en la tierra, pero con cuidados adecuados se pueden obtener buenos resultados aún sembrando en porrones o camas de tierra artificiales...
Después de trabajar arduamente en mi huerto, me tocaría pasar sábado y domingo con mi prima, porque sus padres la dejaron en casa de mi abuela y bueno, alguien debía jugar con ella y ayudarla a hacer las tareas que debía enviar por correo el día lunes.
Pero no todo fue tarea ni actividades, no. En casa de mi abuela todos están ocupados ya sea cocinando o cuidando a mi abuela, es por eso que me toca cuidar a mi prima cuando yo estoy de visita. Sí la ayudé a hacer sus tareas escolares, pero también me tocó jugar con ella y con sus muñecas, si señor, jugué con muñecas, le ayudé a hacerle vestidos y bueno, cosas que se hacen cuando tienes una prima menor, pero nos divertimos bastante.
Cambiando de tema, aunque había estado trabajando en una figura durante la semana, fue este fin de semana cuando finalmente la terminé. Se trata de una figura de Thanos, la cual terminé, desde luego, en compañía de mi prima.

Sin embargo, es una figura que me enorgullece bastante porque me gustó el resultado y deseaba compartirlos con los usuarios de esta gran comunidad, para que la puedan ver en caso de que no la hayan visto. Fue una buena idea hacer esta figura acompañado de mi prima, porque así pude entretenerla durante gran parte del día, los niños son muy inquietos y no es fácil hacer que se entretengan con algo...
Es probable que ya sepan por qué puse el título de "Infinity Weekend" a la publicación y sí, es un juego de palabras en referencia a "Infinity War", la película donde aparece Thanos. Pero no escribí ese título solamente por la figura representativa del personaje, no, también porque ese fin de semana mi prima y yo hicimos un maratón de Infinity War y Avengers Endgame, un par de películas que ella no había visto.
Me vino excelente este maratón, porque preparamos unos sándwich de maravilla para comer mientras veíamos las películas:
El sándwich de la foto también lo usé para otro concurso, pero ese no es el tema. Lo importante es que disfrutamos de hacer una excelente figura de Thanos, de un maratón de cinco horas de dos entretenidas películas y de tres sandwich que devoramos por partes a lo largo de ese maratón. También estuve ocupado reparando una tv y un computador, pero no les voy a mentir, fue un fin de semana que disfruté bastante.
Bien amigos, espero que la publicación les haya gustado y aunque la hago a mitad de semana, espero que les sirva para recargar un poco las energías para terminar la semana con ánimo y disfrutar sanamente de este fin de semana que viene, que faltan solo unos pocos días.
