I'm missing a mural to photograph for this edition of the 2020 Mural Festival, as it's on a very busy street, difficult to have a good picture without too many cars. One day... But I still wanted to talk a little bit about the edition. I'm a bit disappointed this year not because of the organizers but because of the current situation with COVID.
Mural Festival has done what it could to exist and anyway produce some beautiful murals. But the announcement of the international artists was cancelled as soon as Montreal was placed in complete lockdown. The organizers had to find a solution quickly to still have some animations. Luckily there is an important Street Art scene in Montreal, after Eat Local, Street Art Local 😀. Most of the festival took place online with concerts and artists painting also live.
When the confinement was partially lifted, Boulevard Saint Laurent was closed to traffic and some ephemeral works invaded the sidewalks, Here are some of them today :

Tshoko is an artist from the south of France and now based in Montréal for her studies (graphic communication and 3D) four years ago. She also does great paste-up (this will be for a next post 😀)
MSHL (Mishel)

MSHL is an abstract artist based in Montreal since 2009. He likes stopmotion and gif. Very involved in art with children and in the organization MU Montreal.
