I’m not really big on shameless self-promotion. But under this weekend’s extenuating circumstances I managed to put together a lot of posts I’ve been wanting to do. I mean, I think it was a lot…It was a lot. So I wanted to put this together to help put it all into the context of this massive pile of posts, I promise isn’t spam, it’s just my entire weekend rolled into a little table with pictures and links :)
So, like I was saying, I posted a LOT more this weekend than I usually do. My wife took the weekend to go to her friend’s wedding. We both agreed it would have been too much with two young kids, so I stayed home with the girls. So I took Monday off to clean around the house and finish up some posts, making today my first day back to work.
I made it the weekend’s mission to clean out our laundry room and get it organized. This Friday I signed a job offer for a company in another state - and knowing we’ll be moving definitely impacted my approach to cleaning.
In the evenings, I took the girls out for play dates with cousins and grandparents- due to a tornado on Friday, no WiFi, which was awesome but presented some challenges.
The deepest recesses of the laundry room have been collecting my personal things over the years we’ve lived here, so it’s no surprise that this tremendous undertaking inspired me to capture these things while they’re still around.
I reviewed my last six months, in terms of the scheduling I used to get started. I did write ups on some of my things, stayed up all night and played flute tracks, and cleared out the last 2-3 years worth of built up home brews, perhaps among other things.
Today, I go back to the regular flow of things, work resumes and I expect I’ll go back to having somewhat less to say in a given day, but this weekend was, in spite of mountains of work, very relaxing.
Below, I’ve put together a table of the myriad posts I put out all over the block chain this weekend. There were actually a few others, but they were just post-inventories, so they can always be found through the Albus Index.
