For the CCC's Street Art Contest #204 always organized by @digi-me, I present a new mural entitled Le Repos (The Rest) done by Monk.E. If you've been following my StreetArt series, this is an artist you won't be unfamiliar with, highly talented and very active both as a muralist and musician.

Monk.E

As I've been featuring this artist for over 15 murals, his biography hasn't changed too much. But as a reminder, Monk.E is a Canadian Hip-Hop artist and musician who defines himself as an Alchemiographist. He got his start in graffiti by founding the collective K6A. Since then Monk.E has visited many countries to share his art.

Comme cela fait plus de 15 murales que je présente de cet artiste, sa biographie n'a pas trop changé. Mais pour rappel, Monk.E est un artiste et musicien Hip-Hop canadien se définissant lui-même comme un Alchimiographiste. Il commença le graffiti en fondant le collectif K6A. Depuis Monk.E a visité pas mal de pays pour partager son art.

As I said in the introduction, the mural is called The Rest. On his Instagram account, he defines his work as follows: "We stay lit. Even in time of deep darkness. We stay lit. Shinning our inner strength out to the world." Beautiful mural with this message.

Comme je le disais en introduction, la murale s'appelle Le Repos. Sur son compte Instagram, il définit son œuvre comme il suit : "Nous restons allumés. Même dans l'obscurité la plus profonde. Nous restons allumés. Nous faisons rayonner notre force intérieure dans le monde." Très belle murale avec ce message.
