The "cold StreetArt season" is coming to an end in Montreal, although the snow returned this weekend. I'd like to take this opportunity to show you the Legal Wall de Rouen just before winter in November last year. For many artists, it was the last mural of the year, in a style perfect for Halloween.

La saison froide du StreetArt touche à sa fin sur Montréal bien que la neige a fait son retour ce weekend. J'en profite alors pour vous le Mur Légal de Rouen juste avant l'hiver au mois de novembre de l'année dernière. Pour plusieurs artistes il s'agissait de la dernière murale de l'année dans un style parfait pour l'Halloween.

The only work that remains permanently is Mr Can Do by Scan , an artist who left too soon and is still highly respected with the inscription: "Attention Garçon Je me Souviens 9 Sept. 2017" (Attention Boy I Remember Sept. 9, 2017).

La seule œuvre qui reste en permanence est Mr Can Do de Scan , artiste parti trop tôt et encore très respecté avec la mention : "Attention Garçon Je me Souviens 9 Sept. 2017".

WHERE

On rue de Rouen at railway level in Montreal. Just a reminder: Mur légal Rouen is a place where artists can draw in peace, as the activity is permitted by the city. The red lines on the map represent other walls where Street Art can be found.

WHO

We start our tour with a lettering by an unknown artist who may be a member of the NME Crew given that there are signatures from a few members all around like Hest aka The Wild Child 🤔.

Nous commençons notre tour par un lettrage d'un artiste inconnu peut être membre du NME Crew vu qu'il y a des signatures de quelques membres tout autour comme cela de Hest aka The Wild Child 🤔.

Hospek

The viaduct had many works by Mexican artists, such as this snake by Hospek. Superb black-and-white lettering with this eye in the center, really beautiful work. Quebec artist Gabriel Lenfesty, on the right, painted this groundhog on alert for the snake.

Le viaduc avait de nombreuses œuvres d'artistes mexicain comme ce serpent réalisé par Hospek. Superbe lettrage en noir et blanc avec cet oeil au centre, vraiment très belle réalisation. Gabriel Lenfesty, artiste québécois, à droite a peint cette marmotte en alerte à cause du serpent.

Omar Bernal

Omar Bernal, another Mexican artist based in Montreal, did the girl on the left. But unfortunately, I was too late. Most of the mural was covered with less successful tags, except perhaps for Blast.

Omar Bernal, autre artiste mexicain mais basé à Montréal a fait la fille sur la gauche. Mais malheureusement, je suis arrivé trop tard. La plupart de la murale était couverte de tags un peu moins réussi à part peut être celui de Blast.

We finish the first wall with this stencil by this graffiti angel. I like his belt with lots of spray. This cupid is ready to spread love and color around town 😀.

Nous terminons le premier mur avec ce pochoir de cet ange graffeur. J'aime bien sa ceinture avec plein de spray. Ce cupidon est prêt à répandre l'amour et les couleurs dans la ville 😀.

We cross street de Rouen to see the other wall, which also begins with lettering by an unknown artist. / FR : Nous traversons la rue de Rouen pour aller voir l'autre mur qui commence aussi avec un lettrage d'un artiste inconnu.

Hospek, Aldarwin & Riok

And here's the most beautiful part of the Legal Wall de Rouen (in my opinion) this time with this collaboration by artists Hospek, Aldarwin Hernadez Garcia and Riok. This work spans almost the entire wall like a giant spider's web. It was perfect for Halloween, when it was painted.

Et voilà la plus belle partie du Mur Légal de Rouen pour cette fois avec cette collaboration des artistes Hospek, Aldarwin Hernadez Garcia et Riok. Cette oeuvre s'étend presque sur tout le mur comme une toile d'araignée géante. C'était parfait pour l'Halloween, période ou cela a été peint.

It's Aldarwin with the letters IA 🔼 who asks the question Artificial Intelligence or Insomnia and Anxiety 🤔. Then to Hospek again with this spider weaving its trap 🔽.

Il s'agit Aldarwin avec les lettres IA 🔼 qui se pose la question Intelligence Artificiel ou Insomnie et Anxiété 🤔. Puis à de nouveau Hospek avec cette araignée qui tisse son piège 🔽.

And finally, Riok put down his letters. I like the O with those teeth. / FR : Et enfin, Riok a posé ses lettres. J'aime bien le O avec ces dents.

Polographe & Penar

*We end this visit with a new portrait by the Polographe with the father completing his Family series. I'll have to do a post to put all the works in this series together. I like the additions with the pointed ears and gold chain 😀.

Nous terminons cette visite avec un nouveau portrait du Polographe avec le père qui termine sa série Famille. Il faudra que je fasse un post pour mettre ensemble toutes les oeuvres de cette série. J'aime bien les ajouts avec les oreilles pointues et la chaine en or 😀.
