For the CCC's Street Art Contest #181 hosted by @digi-me every week, I show you this mural done last year by AWiE and AXE in an alley in the Hochelaga Maisonneuve in Montreal. In summer, I like to ride my bike to work, which allows me to discover murals like this one. Perfect way to start the day.

Pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #181 organisé par @digi-me chaque semaine, je vous propose ce mur réalisé l'année dernière par AWiE et AXE dans une ruelle dans le quartier Hochelaga Maisonneuve à Montréal. En été, j'aime aller au travail en vélo, cela me permet de découvrir des murales comme celle-ci. Parfait pour bien commencer une journée.

This mural is a collaboration between AWiE and AXE, both members of the collective K6A. Awie is an artist influenced by Montreal StreetArt pioneers such as Scan, Stare or Zek. He's now an accomplished artist completing numerous projects around the world and learning StreetArt from underprivileged youth 🙏. You can see another of his walls on CCC's Street Art Contest #112, a superb tribute to Aristides de Sousa Mendes, the Polish Schindler.

Cette murale est une collaboration entre AWiE et AXE, tous les deux membres du collectif K6A. Awie est un artiste influencé par les pionniers du StreetArt à Montréal comme Scan, Stare ou Zek. Il est maintenant un artiste accompli réalisant de nombreux projets partout dans le monde et en apprenant le StreetArt auprès des jeunes défavorisés 🙏. His partner is Axe Lalime aka AXE, an artist active since 1996, who works with the collective A'Shop. His mural is easily recognizable, especially thanks to his signature with the X in the middle. He's also heavily influenced by Scan, a great friend whose work he's paid tribute on several Montreal walls, including in the Graffiti Alley StreetArt #617 or the project Time is Gold StreetArt #573.

Son comparse est Axe Lalime aka AXE, un artiste actif depuis 1996, qui aussi oeuvre au sein du collectif A'Shop. On reconnait facilement son travail surtout grâce à sa signature avec le X au milieu. Il est aussi très influencé par Scan, un grand ami dont il a rendu plusieurs fois hommage sur les murs de Montréal comme dans la Graffiti Alley StreetArt #617 ou alors pour Time is Gold StreetArt #573.

Another morning on the way to work, next to the bike path on Notre Dame Street, there was this RV parked. Axe did this great lettering with aliens, a shark smoking his cigarette and some kind of dragon fish already cut into sashimi 😀. I couldn't take any more photos as people were having breakfast inside. I tried to keep a low profile.

Un autre matin en allant au travail, à côté de la piste cyclable sur la rue Notre Dame, il y avait ce camping car stationné. Axe a réalisé ce superbe lettrage avec des extraterrestres, un requin qui fume sa cigarette et une sorte dragon poisson déjà découpé en sashimi 😀. Je n'ai pas pu prendre plus de photo car des personnes étaient en train de prendre leur petit déjeuner à l'intérieur. J'ai essayé de rester discret.
