On the walls, well, the boarded-up windows (for a good reason, which you'll understand below) of the O'Noir restaurant, the art-loving owners invite artists to paint them every year as part of their OnoArt program. A few years ago, Stikky Peaches pasted up a superb portrait of the painter Dali (see StreetArt #078) or Matéo with a superb half-portrait (full portrait at his installation) that can be seen in the second photo of the post above.

Sur les murs, enfin les fenêtres barricadées (pour une bonne raison que vous allez comprendre plus bas) du restaurant O'Noir, les propriétaires, amateur d'art, invitent des artistes à les peindre chaque année dans le cadre de leur programme OnoArt. Il y a quelques années Stikky Peaches avait collé un superbe portrait du peintre Dali (voir StreetArt #078) ou alors Matéo avec un superbe demi-portrait (portrait complet à son installation) qu'on peut apercevoir sur la seconde photo du post en haut.

WHERE

On the corner of Prince-Arthur and De Bullion streets in Montreal, on the wall of the restaurant O'Noir which offers a menu in total darkness, hence the barricaded windows. I went once because someone gave me a gift card, which was pretty good but I prefer to see my plate. It was an interesting experience.

Au coin des rues Prince-Arthur et De Bullion à Montréal, sur le mur du restaurant O'Noir qui offre un menu dans l’obscurité totale d'ou les fenêtres barricadées. Je suis allé une fois car quelqu'un m'avait offert une carte cadeau, plutôt bon mais je préfère voir mon assiette. Ce fut une expérience intéressante.

2023 : Jijon, Arlick & Nomada

While writing this post, I noticed that I hadn't yet posted the 2023 edition of OnoArt. Last year, the three windows were painted by Arlick, JiJon and Nomada.

En rédigeant ce post, j'ai remarqué que je n'avais pas encore posté l'édition 2023 de OnoArt. Les trois fenêtres ont été peintes par Arlick, JiJon et Nomada.

2024 : Polographe, Facies & Ekié

🔼 On the top right, you can see a Dali eye from the paste-up done by Stikky Peaches (StreetArt #078). In spring 2024, the three windows were painted by three new artists, Ekié, Facies and the Polographe.
