Also for the Breaking Walls festival held over the weekend of June 23 in Montreal, I present a new mural perfect for participation in the CCC's Street Art Contest #153 hosted by @digi-me. It's a collaboration between artists Monk.E and Luvs. The result is really interesting.

Toujours pour le festival Breaking Walls qui s'est déroulé pendant le weekend du 23 juin à Montréal, je vous présente une nouvelle murale parfaite pour participer au CCC's Street Art Contest #153 organisé par @digi-me. Il s'agit d'une collaboration entre les artistes Monk.E et Luvs. Le résultat est vraiment intéressant.

Internal Isolation is located behind rue Moreau in a sort of wasteland where the Jardin de la Pépinière is located, a community place that offers activities all year round, I go there when it becomes a beergarden with BBQ 😀.

Internal Isolation se trouve en arrière de la rue Moreau dans une sorte de terrain vague ou se trouve le Jardin de la Pépinière, un lieu communautaire qui propose des activités toutes l'année, j'y vais quand cela devient un beergarden avec BBQ 😀.

Breaking Walls took place mainly on Moreau Street in Montreal. I'll gradually add the points on the map of the different murals, so that at the end it can serve as a map if you're in the neighborhood to go and admire them. For example, 621 corresponds to the Korb, Opire & Smoky mural featured in StreetArt #621.

Breaking Walls s'est déroulé essentiellement dans la rue Moreau à Montréal. Je vais ajouter au fur et à mesure les points sur la carte des différentes murales, comme cela à la fin cela pourra servir de carte si vous êtes dans le quartier pour aller les admirer. Monk.E & Luvs

He's a regular in my StreetArt series and I often use his murals for the contest. So I'll keep it short and introduce Monk.E, a Montreal-based hip-hop artist and musician who calls himself an Alchemiographist. He got his start in graffiti by founding the collective K6A. Since then Monk.E has shared his artistic vision all over the world.

C'est un habitué de ma série StreetArt et j'utilise souvent ses murales pour les concours. Alors je vais faire court pour présenter Monk.E, artiste et musicien Hip-Hop basé à Montréal se définissant lui-même comme un Alchimiographiste. Il commençe le graffiti en fondant le collectif K6A. Depuis Monk.E a partagé sa vision artistique partout dans le monde.

For Luvs, I have less information, but he comes from Toronto and occasionally passes through Montreal. In 2021, as part of the Under Pressure festival (whose 2023 edition starts soon, I think the first weekend in August), he produced a mural also with Monk.E.

Pour Luvs, j'ai moins d'informations mais il vient de Toronto et passer de temps en temps par Montréal. Car en 2021, dans le cadre du festival Under Pressure (dont l'édition 2023 commence bientôt, je crois le premier weekend d'aout), il avait réalisé une oeuvre avec déjà Monk.E :

Yuda

Right next door, Yuda an artist from Mexico was invited to take part in the festival. She painted this wall like a painting of a sleeping child peacefully leaning on a cow. But the work was quickly tagged (I stopped by the following week), which was a real shame. I don't understand why this tag with this insult. You can check out the original on this Instagram post.

Juste à côté, Yuda une artiste originaire du Mexique avait été invitée dans le cadre de ce festival. Elle a peint ce mur comme un tableau avec un enfant endormi paisiblement appuyé sur une vache. Mais l'oeuvre a été tagguée rapidement (je suis passé la semaine d'après), vraiment dommage. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi ce tag avec cette insulte. As I said in the introduction, this is a sort of industrial courtyard, there are some interesting tags and lettering like this four-eyed character (dedication to @littlebee4 😀) by Bosny.
