As they were exploring the library for hours, Alice grew an interest in plants and their herbal remedies, especially she got interested in skin conditions. She found an old book called Herbal Remedies for Magical Creatures! What a discovery it was to find this, “Look what I found, a book that might help you!” Alice showed the book to Iris and together they got excited.
They found a remedy for skin conditions inside the book.
“Let's make it!” Alice said with so much thrill, excited to make the herbal remedy. She got to work fast and gathered the ingredients from the garden. -

Breaking the cycle

A recent fight happened. I thought to myself, "we will come back together", we always do. Just like how Maddy and Nate were.
That endless cycle that couldn't be broken. As it turned out, the cycle finally came to an end.
I loved her, I still do but sometimes I really hated my life with her.
A lesson I learnt is that some people are just meant to remain in your past. I was worried that life would be so much tougher without her but the truth is that it got much better. -

The New World

"What's the world coming to Mauta. Namo is a lot colder these days; the streets are crawling with a range of opportunists. They prey on anyone they can." He stared at one of the stills of her smiling face; it was taken around forty years before, while on a trip to Scoosha. "I know what you'd say. You'd tell me Namo was always like this, but, it wasn't. Was it? Maybe it was just less noticeable when I was stronger."
He noticed he had new mail, and opened it. "No doubt, more people with their hands out." Doro was correct. It was just some more junk. He found himself flicking to the next one; a previously opened bit of mail.
"Tech-Tatchments." This time, the idea of Cybernetic enhancements didn't seem too bad. "What would you think of all this Mauta?" -

My search for friendship

image.png

I stood there wondering, won't I take it badly if my best friend takes me off her guest list on the happiest day of her life? At that moment I knew that it was wrong, no one deserves to be rejected or mend affection just to keep a friendship. I realized that a true friend does not make you feel rejected or inferior. It would be an honor for a friend to share such a special day with you. At that moment I knew that the best thing I could do was to walk away, if someone does not value the friendship I can give, nor the effort made to keep it, it is as if I gave a precious treasure to someone and they throw it away because they do not know its value.-

True To Me

But then Kodnisk thought better of it. Getting back into the spotlight? Always being the center of gossip? The stress of deadlines and pressure and everything else that came with being an actor!? Having to deal with mobs of people screaming his name and begging to date him? And what if Mualay found out? No. Kodnisk had already told himself he was not about that life anymore for a reason. Though acting had lots of fun parts to it, he had barely had a home life, and not to mention a romantic life. Mualay was one of the best things that had ever happened to him and he didn't want her love to be drowned out by envy or idolism.-

Uncle Spencer's Apartment

image.png

Source

Mike was a young student who had inherited an apartment in Sioulette, north of Bittencorn, just a few miles from the university. His uncle, Spencer, had recently died of a heart attack, and left the deed to his home to his only beloved nephew, but Mr. Spencer was a cluttered, compulsive hoarder with a deep depression.
He kept small mountains of useless and rusty objects such as motors, pedals, wheels, microwave parts, electronic sandwich makers, coffee pot cups, and his most accumulated item, cobwebbed pressure cookers.
The place was a pigsty filled with irreparable mold, ascending the walls to the ceiling like a subtle, predatory reptile. -

One hour pleasure

image.png

No, no, no, that can't be my dad, I didn't hear his car horn". He said while trying to calm his nerves.
"Or what if it's him and he didn't return with his car because he earlier said the mechanic was with the car?" He pondered so deeply and couldn't finalize on what to do.
The sound of the footsteps stopped at the entrance of the door and stayed silent. Prosper was very sure it was his dad, so he began panicking. He waited for the dad to open the door to come in, but he didn't.
He got curious about what might have stopped his dad at the door. "Maybe he's peeping at me." -
